Spice on Wheels Indian Restaurant absolutely deserves a 5-star review. The team were incredibly welcoming – we originally ordered 2 dal makhani and 8 roti for takeaway, but as tourists they kindly allowed us to dine in instead. We enjoyed the food so much that we ended up ordering 2 more dal makhani and another 10 roti.In 21 years of living in Australia, this was the first time the dal makhani truly tasted authentic, with rich flavour and a perfectly cooked texture. The taste was marvellous and reminded us of true Indian home-style cooking. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again

This is some of the better Indian food I’ve eaten anywhere. It’s not cheap but each dish appears to have its own unique flavours and everything we ordered was delicious. Leftovers the following day we were also telling. They were not solidified by the excess fat of an over greasy meal. Overall excellent. Great to know quality Indian food is available in Hobart. Only hope it’s consistent.

Usually the main course is very good here. I ordered the chicken tikka and the non-veg platter. While the portion size was good, the food itself was disappointing. The taste was very bland and lacked proper seasoning, and some pieces didn’t seem cooked properly, which made the meal unenjoyable. For a dish that’s supposed to be full of flavour, it really fell flat. I expected much better in terms of quality and preparation. Will come here again but only for main courses not for starters.

Very very happy with our takeaway meal today. Had Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosa Chaat and Gulabs.

Excellent sized servings and great value for money. 2 large dishes and 2 large rice plus the entre was way more than enough. At around $15 a head for a quality meal, this place is definitely worth a go!

Had Indian food yesterday at a fancy looking restaurant but were left dissatisfied. Thankyou Simran and team for turning it all around for us!

We had a wonderful experience at Spice on Wheels Indian Restaurant (New Town). The food was very good, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was swift, which made the whole experience even better.

I first visited with my family and enjoyed it so much that I’m now coming back again with friends to celebrate. Highly recommended for great Indian food and excellent service!

Last night, we dined at Spice on Wheels, and while the ambiance wasn’t the most appealing, the food more than made up for it. It’s not a fancy spot, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group of 22 people. Despite the size of our party, the service was efficient, and all of our dishes came out surprisingly fast. Every plate we tried was delicious, with plenty of flavorful vegetarian options available. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value. If you’re looking for fantastic Indian food without breaking the bank, this is the place!

The food and service is outstanding, some of the best Indian I’ve had in a very long time and that’s coming from someone that lives near Bradford UK.

The only knock i give it is that there were kids running around throughout the meal, not the end of the world but makes it a bit harder to relax.

We ordered mix chaat as usual last night but it was absolutely tasteless. There was no papadi in it and the tikki was completely burnt. If there was an option, I would not give it even one star.

We had brunch at the Spice on wheels New Town on Sunday. We were five of us, and between us we ordered Chole Bhature, Amritsari Kulcha , Pani puri, Papdi chaat and Paneer pizza type dish followed by Kulfi. Every dish was bursting with flavour, and the presentation was stunning. Our server was attentive and friendly, making it a truly memorable meal. I personally highly recommend the Amritsari Kulcha with Chole and finish off with homemade kulfi.

We were there for some real indian taste. Nice customer service and quick service. we ordered pani puri, somasa chaat, butter chicken, garlic naan and plain naan. I found dishes were fine beside pani puri which was served cheap by using packed, machine made puri bought from random shop and poor stuffing only with diced few potatoes being south asian I know what pani puri looks like, you guys seriously need to improve the quality of it.
