Ordered a double fudge cookie dough blizzard and it was runny…so didn’t do the flip, not made right either. Said to just give a heath as they couldn’t mess it up but there was almost no heath in a large. Had my wife take up to see if they would add some heath as there wasn’t any in it, they literally refused and the girl was very rude in her comments, she was getting off work and passed us when she was leaving and heard hear saying some not so nice things under her breath. the ice cream itself wasn’t fresh and tasted almost freezer burnt also. If you pay almost $9 for a blizzard it better be good and the service also. Me and my family of 4 frequent this location but this was the last time, I will never go back.

I ordered a turtle blizzard when I received it it was water. I asked the girl to remake it when she opened the window to give it back to me. She looked at me and told me I needed to be more polite when asking someone to remake something She then refused to hand me. My blizzard started shaking her hand at me telling me I needed to have a better attitude Than the manager came over. Handed me my blizzard and slammed the window in my face. The 2 workers were not good at customer service. Not one smile to any customer present (9 total while I was there) They might need to watch those “Dairy Queen” customer service videos Now, I have to say the Blizzards were delicious but the “turn over” presentation was pitiful.

Sad to post this one. I was really looking forward to a treat. I ordered a blizzard. It was not mixed thoroughly at all. The taste was like cardboard. Staff could care less that I was there. I only post because I came about a year ago and experienced the same. I shrugged it off as a bad day, and maybe someone was new learning equipment.

We love coming to the Oak Island DQ. The service is great, the ice cream is great, they always get the order correct. Will continue to come here. My ONLY complaint is that the machines are down so often, either they don’t have chocolate ice cream, or the machines are down completely. Not sure what is happening but it needs to be looked into. Have driven there many times to only have to turn around and go home .

I had to write to let you know how outstanding the service was at your store located on Oak Island, NC. We didn’t realize the store closed at 10pm, and pulled up a few minutes later. The 2 women working were so kind, and instead of turning us away, they graciously agreed to serve us with a smile. It is hard to find good service at most places during business hours. This was exceptional service…after hours! I just wanted you to know how pleased and impressed we were. Plus, our ice cream was so delicious! Thank you so much!!!

Long lines are worth it for this staple of beach vacations. Great ice cream and kind staff despite the crowds. Beach is a ~10 minute walk away if you like to enjoy the ice cream there like I do!

Extremely rude and neglectful staff person working the lunch shift on April 18, 2024. Order completely messed up. Slammed the window so hard in my face when I was frustrated for good reason and just trying my best not to cry over being treated disrespectfully (on top of trying not to cry over a death in my family). Her attitude was so mean-spirited and her behavior so overactive that she could have shattered the glass right in my face. We are all fighting a hard battle, but there is no cause to go that far and endanger someone.

Love Dairy Queen!!!! When we visit Oak Island we go every night for ice cream. I love the dairy free Dilly Bar!!! It’s sooo good. My boyfriend usually gets some flavor of Blizzard!!!
