My husband and I were driving around and found this Mexican restaurant in Byron Center. They have 2 locations 1 in Byron Center and another on Division St by Burton Heights.
The customer service was excellent the people who attended us gave us recommendations on the new foods they added to their menu and it was delicious!
The staff was very kind and provided fast service.
We ordered the green enchiladas which they give you a plate of 5 chicken enchiladas smothered in green salsa, lettuce, sour cream and queso fresco. The pulled chicken was so delicious and full of flavor.
My husband ordered 3 tacos and a shrimp burrito. He loved that the meat was cooked just right and also full delicious.
We will definitely be coming back to the Byron Center location for more!

We really wanted to like this place but wow, some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Taco Bell would have been far better When first walking in, the restaurant has no decor, color, no homage to the Mexican culture. It’s a large empty space with a few seats and tables, and weird slide door slat blinds that separate the dining area from the kitchen. There’s no instruction for dining in, and the setup makes it look like you order and then sit down, but apparently you’re supposed to sit down and be waited on. However, we then also assumed that meant the “waitress” would be refilling our drinks – not the case. We waited forever and had to go up and ask and were told “you can refill your own drink over there”. She also never came back to check on our food, and we waited for the bill that never came and had to walk up to the front again to pay. It’s a confusing setup that doesn’t flow. The free chips and salsa are awful. The chips are saltless and taste like cardboard. The salsa is super liquidy with a strong chicken bouillon taste. The chicken was yellow, rubbery, over cooked and dry, also extremely salty with the same bouillon notes. Nothing had actual authentic Mexican flavors. All around just not a great place. Not sure how there are other higher rated reviews. We don’t foresee this place lasting very long when there’s 2 other Mexican restaurants in Byron Center that are PHENOMENAL and blow this one out of the water.

I got takeout and will come here again.
The tortilla chips were hot and crispy with just enough salt.
It was “Taco Tuesday” and i got the steak tacos which were good, but a bit fatty.
The wet burrito( I had ground beef) was great and loaded with extras: avocado, tomato, rice, beans. Very affordable!

This Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Byron Center and it’s not even close. From the moment you sit down, you can tell everything is made with care and authenticity.
The homemade guacamole is a must-order. It’s fresh, flavorful, and the perfect snack to enjoy while you wait for your food.
As for the taco, every single meat is outstanding. You really can’t go wrong no matter what you choose. Authentic, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor.
If you’re looking for real Mexican food done right, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

Very good food. Guacamole was delicious and chucky definitely made from scratch. I got the chorizo burrito and it was very good as well. Their verde hot sauce was tasty, but I preferred their red hot salsa due to the extra heat. Definitely planning on coming back since there is more on the menu I want to try. Especially the authentic street tacos.

This taco place changed my life. I came in hungry and left questioning why I don’t eat tacos here every day. The tacos are loaded, juicy, and so good they deserve their own fan club. The tortillas are warm, the flavors slap, and every bite feels like a little fiesta in your mouth.
The staff is super chill, the food comes out fast, and the prices won’t personally attack your wallet. One taco is never enough… two is pushing it… and suddenly you’ve ordered five with zero regrets. If you don’t come here, that’s fine—but your taste buds will be disappointed.

Set up like a fast-food place, but it takes over 20 minutes to prep the food.
BE SURE TO SAY YOU’RE EATING IN or else you don’t get chips and salsa during your 20 minute wait.
My husband and I both order the the mixed-meat fajitas. The steak was tough, chicken was good, and the shrimp tasted good but the hard tails were left on for some reason so our hands were gross from picking the tails off.
No sour cream or salsa.
I would only eat here again if I ordered take out AHEAD of time.

I have been here twice and was pleasantly surprised. I had the pastor torta today. It was super tasty. The bread is soft and just perfect.
I’ve also had the quesabirria tacos with consomme. Let me tell you, absolutely delicious!

Wow, what a disappointment. The decor is bland and so is the food. The wet burrito sauce reminded me of Chef Boyardee but not as good. The chips are definitely out of a bag, I can deal with that but the salsa seems like it comes from a can… not even a jar. I think the ingredients in the burrito were fresh but I don’t know how they can make it lack so much flavor. I’m sad that I wasted my lunch hour on this terrible experience. I’m writing this after eating there… I hope I don’t get diarrhea.

Our family went here tonight for dinner . Couldn’t be happier-what an amazing find. Everything we ordered was fresh and had that unique taste . What a hidden gem in Byron Center -plus the prices were extremely fair . Restaurant and bathrooms were clean , which is always nice.
Completely blown away with the quality of the food
Definitely going back next week Mansfield Family
