I loved this place! It was really neat to go inside and take a look around. We ate outside, which was perfect for this weather. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I got the peach salad with grilled chicken, which tasted delicious! The portions were a little smaller than I would have liked for the price, but it was a great portion for a smaller lunch salad. Would definitely recommend going there, especially eating outside and absorbing the atmosphere.

I recently got married this past August at PJ’s and it was absolutely incredible! I am so happy I was able to find this place because it fit mine and my husband’s personality so well. Dana was so wonderfully helpful throughout the entire process. She was so professional and patient with all the questions I had, and I had a lot!
When we first visited PJ’s it was in January and covered in snow but I could still picture how beautiful a wedding would be there. When we visited the second time it was for our menu tasting. It was important to me that I find a place that could have vegan options for me and PJ’s definitely delivered. If I had requested it, they would have made the entire menu vegan but I opted for vegetarian with vegan options and the food was delicious! We got so many compliments that the food was not only delicious but also pleasantly unique for a wedding. We had a buffet style of enchiladas with cilantro rice, pesto pasta with vegetables and truffle potatoes, and the best beet salad I will ever eat. Even people who don’t typically eat beets enjoyed this salad! The chef and staff did an amazing job!
Everything was so well organized and put together exactly how we wanted. If you’re thinking about getting married or even just dining in Truckee, PJ’s is absolutely worth checking out. We could not have picked a better venue if we had to do this all over again. Thank you Dana and PJ’s!!

This place is perfect for families or couples wanting to enjoy a fun and relaxing evening out! Picturesque setting boasting a beautiful golf course with surrounding pine trees. Cornhole will keep the kids entertained while waiting for diner. The ahe nachos are a must! Crisp tortillas, fresh ahi, and a mouth watering sweet soy and honey drizzle makes these a must try. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend an evening as a family on our vacation!

The outdoor dining was amazing! It was a great place to relax with a beautiful setting. Our food was delicious! The kids salmon cooked perfectly and a big portion. My burger was also delicious. The ground beef is definitely high quality. You won’t be disappointed!

We waited for a hour for our meals. The waiter said that the meal I was ordering included 4 pieces of chicken but they only brought me 2, and just said sorry. That sorry ain’t gonna help me fill up my stomach. One of the sandwiches that was ordered was raw meat when she said that the meat was to be well done. The portions were so small we had to go to In&Out after just to not starve.

Came here to celebrate my big date and left greatly dissatisfied and disappointed. We were here 2 years ago and had fantastic experience and decided to come back to celebrate big birthday and brought extended family with us. Today, the wait was over an hr, meat portion in the dish was funny small. The party that came after us got served before us. Servant mislead us into size of the portion saying there would be 4 pieces and the dish contained only 2. And we got only “oh sorry” as a response. Our meat orders were messed up, people that wanted to have medium well, got raw meats on the plates. No pens were provided to sign for credit card. Sad that we won’t be coming to this place.

Fried chicken was dry, over battered, and cold.. my wife’s tri tip was supposed to be medium well and it was well done plus cold.. portions are extremely small with no flavor.. We also waited 45 minutes for our food after ordering? Unfortunately a bad dining experience.. if there was a minus star it would have been a proper rating.

We had our wedding at pjs a little over a week ago now and I can’t say enough about how incredible the staff and coordinator there are. The event flowed so effortlessly and smoothly and the staff was incredibly friendly. No one ever waited in a long bar line (they had 3 bartenders for our event of a little over 100 guests) and more than enough wait staff to get the plated meal out to everyone in a very timely manner. And the food…. The chef is amazing and our surf and turf dinner was curated perfectly. Still dreaming about this awesome day and so grateful to all of the people who made it happen.

We showed up on July 3rd with a reservation. P.J.’s had no reservation for us. They said they were fully booked. We were very disappointed to say the least! Just before we headed away they said they could fit us in! We were obviously very relieved. All but one of us had the salmon. It was excellent! Very flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. The other person had the Tri Tip steak sandwich. She wasn’t that impressed.

The reason for 3 stars is due to app ordering Menu, also pre pay for food and gratuity, 3 options 18% 20% and 25%. I have no problem with top gratuity if and once I receive excellent service, all plates where left on the table no one checked if we would to some water.
Also by pre paying make it less desirable to order more food and drinks.
If the setup of ordering, tips, and service don’t change I don’t think I will make an effort to come back.
