This place is honestly terrible. I bought a burrito and it had a hair in it. When I went to complain, they told me they could not do anything and basically acted like I put the hair in there myself. That is ridiculous and disrespectful.
The burrito was already tiny and skinny, not even close to a good portion for what I paid. For it to be small and have a hair in it just made the whole thing even worse.
They refused to refund me or replace it, and told me to come back the next morning. I could not make it because I had things to do, but it should not be this hard for them to fix their own mistake.
The customer service was rude, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing. I paid for food that was not safe to eat and they tried to blame me instead of owning up to it. I will never come back here and I would not recommend it to anyone.

We ordered potato tacos and to my surprise, the tacos only came with a teaspoon of mashed potato. This is the worst tacos I’ve ever had due to the lack of potato. The only space on the taco was the middle of it. If they would have spread it, it would have looked a little better, but the price of it was ridiculously over priced if this is how the cook says they serve them with such little potato. We called and we told them about how little they had and they didnt even offer anything. To return them and get something else that will fill me up. I’ve had them before and this is never how I used to get them. I guess the cook changed the recipe to over price the customers. I honestly feel I was ripped off. My other order was rolled tacos. We asked for no cheese on them, but only got guacamole on them. I guess this cook that worked tonight is changing the menu because we didn’t get lettuce with our rolled tacos either. I hope the owner sees this because I am going to start going to sombreros to get my shredded beef tacos from there since they do fill up their tacos there. Forget the potato tacos from here. I would rather drive down the street a little farther to sombreros where they dont rip people off with their food and serve good portions. Both my siblings and myself felt we got ripped off.

Love this place! Jose, Laura, George, and Wicho are like family and put everything they have into making this place a fast, friendly taco shop with excellent food. Reminds me of “Alberto’s” during the Bertos Wars of the 1980s <3

I checked out this popular local taco shop several friends swear by the location. So here we go.
Location, easily accessible and a decent drive through. It’s best aspect of location is all the nearby apartments. The area is really gross and dirty though with urine stains everywhere.
The food, I got the Victoria burrito which is carnitas and chili releno. Small for the price, almost half the size of other locations for the price of around $9. The flavor was pretty good and the combination is pretty fresh. There was a big chuck of gristle inThe burrito though.
The staff, the guy who works the window was cool, and helpful.
The extras, the green salsa was basically just green water and the only have green and red salsa, no habenero or spicy option.
The menu is also pretty diverse and an easy walk up window.
Results, I might eat there if I lived near there, if they had a nearby bar or nightlife I could see it being very popular. Aside from that there are taco shops on every block and this one just didn’t stand out.

Ordered here three times because it’s the most convenient Mexican food location to Prescott Promenade Park and the food got worse each time I ordered. Cashier man couldn’t care less about customer service and the fries were always greasy and burnt. Portions were also mediocre – you only get about 1/4 of the standard portion you find elsewhere… Don’t recommend at all, probably the worst Mexican food place I’ve gone to in El Cajon so far.

Go to place for Mexican food in EC but they are sooo expensive now! It’s always clean when I go. The owners are friendly, never had a customer service issue. They charge ridiculous fees for cards though, $2 if your order is llover $20, $1 for $5-20 and $0.50 under $5. Attached 2 Carne asada fries with SC and 1 chimichanga combo for $31 plus $2 credit charge.

I don’t know what people are complaining about. Usually when a lot of people like a place and there’s those who don’t, likely it’s how they order.
Been here multiple times at different hours and order different burritos. Sometimes shrimp, sometimes the carnitas, chile relleno etc and they’re ALWAYS FRESH and delicious. Not to salty and cooks well.
The only thing I’d say they need to improve is the speakerphone lol sometimes i don’t know what they’re saying. But if there’s confusion it’s taken care of at the window.
All I can say is don’t listen to the nay sayers and try it yourself.
