This bar has the unmistakable charm of a place that gave up somewhere around 2009 and never looked back. The floor is sticky in a way that feels less like a spill and more like a lifestyle choice, and the décor suggests a long-running experiment in how little maintenance a building can survive on before achieving sentience. Every surface looks tired—like it’s seen things, bad things.
Then there’s the live music, which arrives occasionally and without warning, like a plumbing issue. The bands seem to be learning their instruments in real time, bravely exploring the outer limits of volume while completely abandoning concepts like rhythm and tuning.
All in all, this bar is perfect if you enjoy tetanus-adjacent vibes, and the thrill of not knowing whether the strange noise you hear is part of the song or the building finally collapsing (which would be an upgrade for the adjacent businesses).

This is where the locals go. If you are sick of the curated corporate bars that are taking over downtown Orlando then this is the place for you. Sad that Tanquerays closed, then give this place a try. Lee is an excellent bartender and the other patrons are friendly as well. Dog friendly so if you have a doggo come on down.

Lucky Lure is an Orlando staple – and a place I love to frequent as someone who lives in the neighborhood and makes an adventure out of bopping around. The bartenders here are so lovely – Lee and Roger specifically. I noticed there were some negative reviews about them and if you’re currently reading this and find those reviews impacting your decision to visit, don’t. I’d take those with a grain of salt – if a seasoned bartender is refusing service to someone, it’s more often than not for a good reason, no? Sometimes you’ve just gotta let the trash take itself out.

I went here on a first date. I was very apprehensive. The bar staff were amazing! I now have a new cousin Matthew, and a gentleman named Lee that I called Coach Beard. I’ve only seen the first season of Ted lasso so if coach beard turns out to be horrible then that’s not him. The staff here went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable! I cannot speak highly enough of how great the experience it was. The date was okay! But I will have a cousin Matthew forever! This was a very safe and inviting place!

I was genuinely looking forward to enjoying the ambiance. However, my visit was unfortunately marred and ultimately cut short due to the unprofessional behavior of a bartender named Lee. While the setting was appealing, a single individual’s ‘small man complex’ created an unnecessarily hostile environment, overshadowing any potential enjoyment. It’s disappointing when the actions of one staff member can so significantly detract from what could have been a pleasant outing.
