In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We do things the Bueno way, and you’re sure to taste the difference.

Every single time I come to this Taco Bueno, my order gets messed up. I specifically ask for a beef burrito with no beans, and four separate times now they’ve still put beans in it. I love Taco Bueno’s food, so I tried switching it up and ordering something different in hopes it would be correct. Unfortunately that didn’t help. This is now the third time I’ve ordered a cheese quesadilla and they’ve put chicken in it instead.
What’s even more frustrating is that the receipts are always correct, so the issue isn’t with how the order is taken. It seems like the kitchen just isn’t following the receipt. I really enjoy Taco Bueno, but after so many incorrect orders it’s extremely frustrating. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location anytime soon.

Had to go up there twice because they forgot to put in my large queso. Just handed the large queso over without putting it in a bag. Came back home and realized they also messed up my order by giving me a beef whole lotta platter instead of the chicken one. To top it off, the Dr Pepper is watered down. Last time this location will take my money.

When did they stop putting cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, and sour cream on Taco Salads? Cause the last two haven’t had any of it. But at least they got the chicken right.

Great, fast, fresh and tasty Tex-mex at good prices. This location in particular is well managed, with great customer service, clean tables and self serve stations, as well as clean, private (lockable) bathrooms. The food is high quality, with most offerings made in-house, and not pre-frozen. Mexi-dip and chips is a must- as well as the enchilada plate. It’s located in a convenient shopping center on Skiatook’s Main Street, and there’s plenty of parking. Another plus is hand sanitizer stations at several points in the restaurant.

The employees didn’t have on uniforms. The girl was more interested in the male employee than interacting with us in the drive-thru. It was like they were trying to hurry us thru so they could talk. It was weird and very unprofessional. We got 3 tacos. The meat was cold. It was around 10 pm when we were there on Tuesday night. The whole experience was awful…. and why were they in street clothes?? Tacky…..

Overall, I had a a good experience at this restaurant. The food came out hot fresh and the price is OK. It is a chain restaurant, but one of my favorite restaurant. This one is actually one of the nicer tap restaurant of the brand at the time I went, it was not busy. It is absolutely worth a visit.

Aside from the taco meat being completely bland and I had to use packets of Taco Bell Fire Sauce to salvage it, but why in the hell would you need to pour half a cup of sour cream on your taco? This was terrible. We usually go to Taco Bell when in Skiatook, not sure why I made the mistake of deviating from that routine today, but I won’t make that mistake again. This was not even edible.
