I stopped by Burger Lounge while traveling on my bike, cash in hand, just looking for a meal and maybe a little warmth from the cold. I wasn’t asking for anything special—just wanted to see if hospitality still existed. Instead, I was met with nothing but indifference.
The staff didn’t offer a greeting, a smile, or even basic courtesy. I asked a simple question, and the response was dismissive, almost as if I wasn’t worth their time. The guy behind the counter barely looked at me before brushing me off with a cold, uninterested “Good luck.” No attempt to help, no concern, no effort. Just an attitude that said, You’re not our problem.
A place like this can serve the best burgers in the world, but if the people running it treat customers like they don’t matter, what’s the point? Food is everywhere. Service, respect, and basic human decency? That’s what makes a business stand out.
I won’t be back. Not because of the food—I never even got the chance to try it—but because of the way I was treated. And that says more about a place than anything on the menu.
With tax a bbq burger is basically $15.
Now, the food did LOOK great, but when I took a bite I damn near spit it out. It was god awful. I thought ” what the hell was that!? Oh my God, that was horrible”. I looked it over and it looked OK, so I took another bite and there was just something off… I honestly don’t know what it was, but something was off. I just kept thinking maybe the meat was soured? Maybe the cheese was some weird cheese? The bacon seemed OK, but the burger tasted like something was wrong… then the whole day I had this off putting taste in my mouth that was fairly disgusting after that.
I really have no clue what it could have been but maybe something in the kitchen that was old cross contaminated with the fresh meat?
It was one of those things you want to go and conduct an inspection of the kitchen just to see what’s going on back there and how clean is the place…
Presentation was great. The Burger was perfectly stacked (which is commendable!) and so were the onion rings.
I loved this place. Quality all around.
