TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Pretty solid staff and food. I’d been curious for a while so I’m glad my bf and I tried it out. It’s a dry seasoning versus a sauce. Interior has a reasonable amount of seating and there is also some outside that would be fun to try out when it’s summer. Do get the cheese on your fries, I wasn’t sure and didn’t get it, then ended up being jealous of my boyfriend’s.

Came in for hot chicken… left with a spiritual experience.
Chris helped me out and this man deserves a raise. He walked me through the heat levels like a life coach making sure I didn’t ruin my week by ordering something reckless. Answered all my questions, made solid recommendations, and treated me like a VIP in the House of Spice.
Food was (literally), service was top tier, and Chris made the whole experience way better. If you go, ask for him — he’ll guide you wisely and probably save your taste buds.
10/10. Would risk the heat again.

Great place to fill your flavorful spicy chicken. I stumbled upon this from my coworkers, I was wanting spicy chicken with that “Nashville batter” spice. Dave’s Hot Chicken hit the spot and was worth every dollar.
Pricing: Menu items are within fair pricing $12-$18 range.
Customer service: I went in today (10.28.25) with my boss. For whatever reason the helped everyone that was behind her in line. This was weird, because Dave’s has ALWAYS been excellent on customer service. But other than today, GREAT customer service.
Venue: It is clean for the most part, but we like to dine outside on warmer days. Very chill vibes and good eating.

This is the Extra Hot Chicken Sliders, I would have gotten the Reaper Hot but I am too Chicken . No I’ll come back for it when I am not going to die of heartburn overnight. The Medium was Spicy and extra hot was making me cry lol. As advertised it is indeed hot. The chicken was on point and the seasoning was amazing.

Our first time trying DHC; and was not disappointed. The whole experience was great and Jam the employee who assisted us was awesome, he was so helpful and so friendly and had us laughing a lot which helped our day improve after the stressful day we were having. (Thanks Jam for being such an awesome person and employee, you helped make the experience that much better) and the food he recommended for us was spot on. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend you try Dave’s if you haven’t yet. Oh and I loved that we could chose the spicy level of our chicken. We got the medium which was a nice introductory heat, can’t wait to try something a little hotter next time

I’m a big fan of HOT chicken. Buffalo, Nashville Hot, etc. so I was really excited when Dave’s Hot Chicken opened at this location. I’ve made multiple lunch visits hoping to love it, but unfortunately, I’ve been less than impressed with the food overall.
I’ve ordered the Dave’s #2 (2 Sliders with Fries) as well as the Flight of Saucy Bites with fries on different visits, and each time the flavor has been underwhelming. While the food looks great, the taste just hasn’t delivered crave-worthy heat and flavor I was expecting.
That said, the service has been outstanding every visit. The staff is friendly, efficient, and clearly doing a great job on the customer service side. My biggest disappointment has been the value. The cost feels unreasonable for the quality and quantity of food I received.
I’m willing to give it another try, but so far, I’ve walked away disappointed with both the flavor and overall value. I’d recommend visiting and making your own judgment, but based on my experiences, this location hasn’t lived up to the hype for me.

I heard about the place yesterday while discussing spicy foods with friends. I will preface that I absolutely enjoy spicy foods and am always looking for new experiences, so please don’t take this as what you’ll expect.
I ordered the reaper slider and the store had me sign a waiver. The customer service was very good, they attempted to warn me of the heat and learned that I was doing this because I wanted to, not a dare. They made apt recommendations and the food was tasty. I would put the reaper slider at about an 8 or 9 /10 for the spiciest chicken I’ve ever had, and about a 5/10 for flavor. It wasn’t completely hot just to be hot, but it felt like they were definitely more focused on the heat than anything else. I’ve seen some reviews where they just douse the tender in powder and it’s like eating dust, this was not the case for my experience.
Overall I’d order it again, the size was good, the burn didn’t linger long and other than the usual runny nose spicy foods bring it was tolerable.
I will say, don’t eat it on an empty stomach, though the fries that come with the combo was enough to settle any discomfort.

Very simple menu: chicken strip or slider. Then different heat levels. Warninng… they are hot!! Sliders obviously taste less hot, but err on the side of less heat. Also, you can do different heat levels in the same meal.
