Reviews
Excellent. Fresh bread with a nice crisp outside and tender inside. Fresh lettuce and vegetables, great sauce, and well-cooked tofu. One of the best tofu banh mi sandwiches I’ve had.
Vegan Pho (4/5)
A hearty bowl with noodles, mushrooms, tofu, carrots, broccoli, baby corn, and bok choy in a vegetable broth. Very flavorful and delicious.
Service (3/5):
Good and patient. The staff were willing to help us split both the banh mi and the pho, which we really appreciated.
Ambiance:
Booth seating with cubicle-style walls that feel festive and cozy. It gives some privacy while still feeling casual and fun.
Come back for the banh mi. It is literally one of the best.
The staff is rude and respond with attitude any time you ask for something. What really upset me was watching one of the servers carry two large bowls of hot pho directly over my toddler’s head. I could clearly see he was struggling to hold them. I told him he was way too close to my daughter with hot food, and he completely ignored me and continued struggling over her — no apology, no acknowledgment, just attitude. That is a serious safety concern.
This is the second time I’ve given this place a chance, and both experiences were terrible. The first time I went, I was told they didn’t have high chairs. This time, suddenly they do? The inconsistency and lack of professionalism is disappointing.
Great food, but the service and safety issues make it hard to want to come back.
For the crowd atmosphere stuff did pretty well even some people get frustrated to wait.
Space between table is small, bathrooms are tiny and not children’s friendly, no changing table for infants.
Pho (steak and flank combo)
A bit pricey for what it is but they are fair with portions. The broth was excellent with great beefy flavors. Not as clear as i would normally like it but still great. The meat was cut a tad too thick unfortunately, but hopefully, that it was just a one off.
Chicken wings
We missed the original pok pok wings and had our expectations already set high which was unfair. These wings were good but they were not pok pok level if thats what you were expecting. A tad on the dry side.
Lemongrass chicken
Don’t expect broken rice because it wasnt. Chicken was grilled excellently, tender, and had great marinaded flavors. Would recommend this dish.
Pro asian tip: I would also highly recommend ordering the chili oil here since its not standard on the tables. Put it on EVERYTHING. Yes, pho included, you won’t regret it.
Cheers!
Nestled in cozy downtown Gresham we found this little jem. We were seated fast and menus at the ready.
We ordered a couple apps to get the ball rolling. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the fried tofu.
The Vermicelli Noodles w/Pork slapped. I added a side of rice just because and it was a perfect addition. The Beef Pho was the star of the afternoon though with 3 orders.
We enjoyed our time there. Give them a try
