We tried the chicken Pho and the pork and chicken combo (which came with springrolls) and everything was very tasty. The hostess/waitress was very welcoming and nice. We have had a lot of Vietnamese and Asian food over the years and this is very similar to what you can get in Vancouver.
The music was relaxing, the space was clean, and the service was fast. Overall this is a great option for eating out in Parksville.
We will definitely have to come back!

What a great Vietnamese restaurant find in Parksville!
It easily rivals Vietnamese restaurants in Victoria, Vancouver and Toronto. The quality of the meal was excellent. If you’re hungry for Vietnamese food, this is the place to come the servings are ample. It’s clean bright and cheerful. Best of all everyone who works at Lan Vietnamese express is wonderful to deal with! Thank you everyone for a great dinner.

Staff is so nice and the food was very very good (especially for parksville ) portion was so big I had the pork and chicken with noodles and spring roll. It kept me eating all day I wish I took a photo before I destroyed it. I swear it looked nicer. Spring roll was so flaky and crispy. Meat was VERY good! I liked the self serve sauces too!

This Vietnamese restaurant wasn’t for me, as it’s not very traditional. I was disappointed that the noodle soup didn’t come with the usual plate of bean sprouts, basil, and lime—something you always expect at a Vietnamese place. Instead you were asked what needed to be put in at ordering time.
Food took about 10-12 min to serve.
The broth tasted strongly of MSG, instead of real beef broth. It felt more like a fast-food joint, as you have to pre-order and pay before you sit down, and there’s a one-hour time limit. The decor is nice and that’s about it. Some people might like this style, but it’s not traditional and not to my liking. Parking can also be tricky, as it’s street parking.

Nice little place to stop by for lunch. Found this recommendation via Goggle and it didn’t disappoint. I am from Asia and this is pretty good and authentic. Highly recommend the Supreme Banh Mi (Sub).

Most delightful here was the hostess/wait staff/ server. She welcomed me warmly and was most happy with each interaction. She’s an asset to the restaurant. The food was great too!! I had a lovely table in the open air. So nice.

As a visitor, the food was ok. Not sure why the review was so high. The price was similar to the lower mainland but the portion was smaller, and the bowl was in square shape awkward. The service was good I can’t complain, the waitress was nice and double checked our allergies requests for the kids.

We drive from Comox for the PHo. Unbelievably yummy! And they sell the best tasting chili oil in jars! We add it to many things – tastes great on breakfast potatoes – or amything!

Wife really enjoys the salad rolls and I usually go with the pork vermicelli bowl. Staff is always friendly, have ate here around 5-6 times now and pretty consistent last time the spring roll was slightly over cooked.

Walked into this place today, two employees sitting at window eating, one in back on cellphones. I stood at counter waiting for someone to take my order? Eventually turned around and walked out. Terrible service!
Wouldn’t you think one of the employee filling their face at the window would have turned around and say to me someone with you in a moment? Even better, if they got up and called to the back for someone to come out front to help a customer?
Sad your employees don’t care about the business or the customer. Good luck
