Food is incredible and everyone is so nice here! South Indian Thali and mini idly! Mango lassi of course :). This place is a must try. Great prices as well. I always take out but decided to eat here today. Thank you for another great meal!

After a long time I can say there’s good Indian food in NY! Loved all the dishes, like it was made in India! Had some leftovers the day after and it still tasted good at home. I hope the quality stays the same for years to come so I can eat there, years to come! Great food and place!

I won’t lie one but, I cried over the service and food. I may have hated on Indian food a few times because of online videos I have seen but, I wanted to try it. And so I did. I called and explained I was new to the young lady on the phone and placed and order and she helped me out.
The atmosphere, was so loving that I cried over how nice and welcoming they were. The type of hospitality you rarely see, I automatically was just in shock honestly.
The food was more than worth it, only 21$ and I got a huge bag of food, the North India thali, was beyond anything I’ve had so far, definitely will be making my way back to them soon.
I told a friend , we don’t deserve such kind and loving people in today’s society, they left me feeling loved and fed.
I had the food for lunch and dinner the following day too, it was a lot of food. So for anyone wanting to try their food, DO IT! I truly gained more than a full belly from my visit to their restaurant. It was definitely “the soul” of India!!

The best dosas and vadas in Hicksville. The Rava Village Special Dosa is my go-to—it’s thin, crispy, with onions, garlic, butter, and cheese. The chai is excellent. Rajiv is especially kind and helpful. Very friendly service and good quality food.

The food here is exceptional, reminiscent of a delightful home-cooked Indian meal. Every dish is incredibly flavorful. I’ve sampled a variety of appetizers and main courses, all of which were superb. The service is outstanding; the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. Despite being fully booked, the hosts ensured we received excellent care throughout our visit. I would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant.

Ambiance: it’s a very casual restaurant. It’s also a bit small so if you’re coming with a big group, I advise that you call ahead. It’s a simple set up for a comfortable hangout or dinner. It’s a great place to bring someone who wants to try authentic Indian food.

Food: I LOVED their dosa. It was a large size and the sambhar it came with was so flavorful and delicious. They have us refills too which is great. The chutney it came with was nice – was a good contrast to the sambhar. We also LOVED the dry Manchurian. It was so crispy and well seasoned and sauced. We enjoyed it so much we ended up getting a second order.

Service: they were very busy but service was still great. They were patient and answered all our questions and took our order quickly. The food took awhile to come out.

Price: very reasonably priced and worth it too considering the large portion sizes.

I recently visited Village – The Soul of India and tried their Matka Dosa with paneer gravy, and it was absolutely divine! The dosa was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and filled with a rich, flavorful paneer gravy that was creamy, spicy, and utterly satisfying. Every bite was a perfect balance of textures and authentic Indian flavors.

The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting ambiance that makes you feel at home, and the staff were friendly and attentive. From the décor to the menu, every detail reflects the soul of India.

If you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine with a twist, Village – The Soul of India is a must-visit. The Matka Dosa with paneer gravy alone is reason enough to go!
