If you like pizza hit up Gibronis! Friendly service, great pizza, what more do you want?
We ordered the pizza through uber eat.
The pizza was soggy, filled with oil, did not have any crisp and appeared to be doughy and slightly undercooked.
A very disapppinting first time experience.
This place is an absolute gem. Gibroni’s delivers big flavor, bold personality, and the kind of comfort food you crave when you want something indulgent and unforgettable.
Let’s start with the pizza. That crust? Unreal. Crispy on the edges, pillowy in the center, and packed with the kind of flavor that only comes from care and craft. Ours was topped with bright tomato sauce, melted cheese, and a gorgeous streak of pesto that added just the right hit of herby richness. Easily one of the best Detroit-style pizzas I’ve had in California.
And the fried cauliflower? Golden, crunchy perfection. Not greasy, just light and addictive—especially when dunked into one of their house-made sauces. It’s the kind of appetizer you keep reaching for, even when you swore you were full.
Bonus points for stocking Vernors—a true Michigan classic and the perfect crisp, gingery counterpoint to the rich food.
The space is full of character, with Detroit sports memorabilia, throwback vibes, and just enough edge to make it feel cool without trying too hard. You can tell this spot was built with heart and pride.
Whether you’re from the Midwest or just a fan of damn good pizza, Gibroni’s is the real deal. 10/10, would absolutely come
From the moment they opened at JD’s, this spot was off the charts—and it’s only gotten better in their new location. The Detroit-style pizzas are absolutely delicious, and the rotating monthly specials keep things exciting. Don’t miss the Caesar salad—it’s the best in town. The pastas are amazing, the wings are kick-ass, and the full bar has a solid selection of craft beers. Bonus: come on Wednesdays for the buzzed spelling bee—it’s a blast and definitely not to be missed!
We arrived at 2pm on a Saturday and there was ample parking on the side.
The location is very open and spacious. Tables are spread out just enough so one doesn’t feel overly crowded.
We quickly decided on the From The D pizza and the Fun Guys pizza.
Both are excellent. We also ordered beers at the bar. They have a really good selection of craft beer.
The service was fast and the staff was top notch. We are already looking forward to coming back.
**Note: The only knock here is that they charge $2 for a 2oz cup of hot honey or ranch dressing. For an 8”x10” pizza ‘starting’ at $22, a 2 oz cup of ranch/honey dipping sauce should be free. Just my opinion.
Delicious nonetheless.
The service I don’t really care for. They don’t go above and beyond. You walk in and take your order at the booth then you have to go to the bar to get your drinks. There are plenty of free parking spaces near the restaurant.
