We tried their buffet it had less than 20 items. We finally found out they had enchiladas but they were made Very poorly. They’re beans were good but the rice was lacking in flavor, They also had no carnisa for the buffet what kind of Mexican place does this? The cinnamon sugar Tortilla strips was about the best thing they had there. I mean if you want a cheap fast buffet go for it but otherwise the taste is lacking.

We found this place by accident and we’re glad we did. My husband has alloz con pollo and I had the chicken and mushroom enchilada and both were fantastic! We had margaritas too. He had the patron and I had the green valley. Both were delicious we will be back.

I recently visited Chile Verde and it was seriously one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in Sumter. The vibe was warm, welcoming, and had that authentic Mexican feel that makes you feel right at home.
I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas, and let me tell you—amazing. The enchiladas were perfectly stuffed, covered in a rich, creamy green sauce, and topped with just the right amount of melted cheese. The flavors were fresh, tangy, and balanced in a way that left me wanting more with every bite. The portion size was great too—filling without being too heavy.
The service was fast and friendly, and the staff made sure everything was perfect. You can tell the food is made with real ingredients and a lot of care.
If you’re in Sumter and you want authentic Mexican food, Chile Verde is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a go to for us! The food is good (fish tacos are excellent!), portions generous and we spend less here than we would as a family of 4 at a fast food joint. But even more importantly, the family who owns it is incredibly generous to the community as a whole. The often donate food to teachers at a local elementary school and host many community fundraisers each year. The one they were hosting tonight donated 50% of sales to the police department winter clothing drive. We feel like our money goes farther here both for what we get and more importantly what they give back.

Excellent place to eat! They moved from Pendleton Pike which was closer to me :-(!! But they are absolutely amazing! The chips and salsa are always delicious! I haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet. They keep your drinks full and are usually pretty good about making sure you have everything you need! Highly recommend!
