11/20/25 ordered pizza and wings. The dressing is outdated by 3 months!! “We can probably substitute”. You want me to drive back? Why is this even in your cooler? Who is inspecting these places? Why do we tolerate bad service when we pay good money?

Great online deals if you’re willing to pick your order up. I got a large pepperoni pizza for more than half-off using a coupon from the Hungry Howie’s website.
The seating area here is clean. This location also has a drive through, which I’ve never seen at any pizza place before. The A/C inside feels nice.
I love Hungry Howie’s pizza. The pie I picked up today wasn’t quite up to the standards I’m accustomed to. I’m not sure if it didn’t have enough cheese or too much sauce or if it sat around for a while before I picked it up or what. I placed my order online and was at the store ten minutes later. My pizza shouldn’t have been ready that soon, but it was. I think the pizza I got was maybe intended for someone else who didn’t pick it up or something. It just really didn’t taste “fresh.”

Time for a new review. Last time I visited I was pretty cruel. But after a few years my wife and I decided to visit Hungry Howie’s Deland again to see how they’ve done.
The store is remarkably cleaned up, with new drink equipment, new counter tops and tile work. The old ratty tables have all been replaced with much better stuff that fits their business better.
The employees aren’t just friendly, it’s apparent that they are happy to work there and their focus is on the customer. My previous time there the parmesan cheese and pepper flakes had been replaced by a sign that if you wanted them you’d be paying extra. The dispensers for in-store eaters are back, as are the napkins! The customer focus of the place is striking.
We ordered two large pizzas, one with two kinds of pepperoni and the other with double sausage and no marinara sauce. That drives my wife’s digestive system into full revolt and I don’t need to get into the details. She took or order and then repeated it back to ensure it was right. That didn’t happen last time!
Then, as some here have remarked, the kitchen made one of the pizzas wrong. But instead of just handing the pizza to us and daring us to find the problem, the server announced the problem and asked if we could take the time for them to make a pizza the way we ordered. We didn’t have to catch the problem, THEY did and then they proposed a solution.
We accepted and she let us keep the mistakenly made one as well. The pizzas were great. The crust was tasty, the Cajun seasoning was perfect, the sauce was flavorful with a great mix of spice, the cheese was perfect and there was lots of it. But the biggest improvement of all was that the pepperonis were crowded all over my pizza. I had more in one slice than I had on the entire pizza last time. And they tasted incredible, taking the focus of the flavor in an assertive way like pepperoni is supposed to. The sausage pizza was similar, with more sausage on one slice than we got on the entire pizza when we gave Hungry Howie’s a well deserved bad review last time.
Hungry Howie’s DeLand is 100% redeemed. Now the place is fun to visit, has great food and greater employees. What an amazing turnaround!

This was the nastiest food I ever ate. Im almost sure they contaminated it with body fluids. The pizza was horrible left a unfamiliar yet nasty taste as if something was in it that should not have been. We will NEVER oreder from this place again. The wings were not so great either

I have ordered from this location a few times and usually things are alright aside from missing sauce a few times or something simple like that. On Friday I ordered a couple of pizzas. When I received them, the first one was alright. The second one was absolutely obliterated. It looked like the driver decided to enter a drift even on the way to me. A full pizza only covered half the box. I called to the store to let them know. I didn’t ask for a replacement because I wasn’t going to wait another 40 minutes just to run the risk of this happening again. The only thing I can say about this experience is that if you don’t want your pizza coming in looking like a calzone, might be best to pick it up.

The food is good but the phone service they have now sucks we tried to make an order and the guy that was taking our order said they had no sauce for the chicken wings I had to have them plain, I asked for a supreme pizza and he told me they can’t do that. I called the actual place it’s self and talked to a girl at the place and she said yes we can do all that but the sauce is on the side and it’s called a howie special not a supreme. If you are going to use a third party to take orders make sure that do their job. I was pissed about his attitude and the way everything was done. I would rather drive into town And get something else than deal with this again and this isn’t the first time. I’m done with this bull crap. I used to order at least once a week but I from now on will tell everyone how bad and disrespectful this company is.

I called the store directly asked if I could place an order for delivery. She said uhhhhm this is the store you gotta deal with the call center. They force you give your credit card information to a 3rd party call center who was an Indian guy I could barley understand that’s crazy.
Edit: I went and read your reviews after I made my comment and everyone of them mention this 3rd party call center The fact this is still going on is Absurd. Some of these comments are 7months old. And the problem is still occurring.
