While traveling, I had to stop by TruBroth — and I’m so glad I did! This place is absolutely amazing: cozy, relaxing, and full of charm. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, which I really appreciated.

I ordered the beef broth, and it was spectacular — rich, flavorful, and comforting. I finished it with ease. If you’re ever near the outskirts of Greenville, SC, you have to check this place out. It’s a hidden gem!

Five stars for TruBroth, it’s truly the best,
Your pho leaves the rest far behind in the quest.
Tender beef swimming in broth so divine,
Rich, deep, and savory — a flavor goldmine.
Bean sprouts and veggies in plentiful cheer,
Service so warm, you just feel welcome here.
A decade of searching, my cravings now through,
TruBroth, you’ve won — I’m devoted to you!

If disappointment and mediocrity could be summed up in a restaurant, this would be it! I go to the counter and ask if their “Noodle Bowl” is similar to a typical vermicelli bowl and the waitress tells me she doesn’t know what a vermicelli bowl is- isn’t this a Vietnamese spot?? Anywho, I order it and it was by far the most flavorless and stale vermicelli bowl I’ve ever had. (The only one I had worse was a hobunk hole-in-the-wall place in rural Tennessee on a road trip, and really who would expect good food there?) Tofu was hard as cardboard and totally lacking in flavor. Sauce was watery and underwhelming. Portions are extremely small for their inflated prices. Most of our meal was spent listening to the same waitress disappointing new customers by telling them the wait would be very long as they were serving “many people” even though half the tables were open. Needless to say, never coming back.

It pains me to write this review- but I’m so saddened by what TruBroth has become. I have been giving patronage to this establishment since 2019. Never have I experienced such a shrinkage of food allotment- I even said something to the lady at the register about the minimal amount of broth and she just smiled at me and asked me if I wanted siracha sauce. Typically the broth for the wonton soup is always filled three quarters of the way- what I received for two wonton soup orders is embarrassing. The price for this food is not constituted and I’m really upset. On top of it all I was charged a convenience fee for paying by credit card.

My brother and I both wanted to try this place. We wanted coffee. Unfortunately, we were mislead by the sign. It says coffee and Vietnamese cuisine…. there is only 1 coffee on the menu and it only comes iced with milk. That’s not coffee and Vietnamese cuisine. That’s Vietnamese cuisine and there is a option for a cup of coffee. I think they should change the sign. I didn’t order any food due to time constraints but what my brother ordered looked, smelled and (though just a bite) tasted great. I want to go back to try the food for myself, but I can’t get past my disappointment. Don’t call it COFFEE and Vietnamese cuisine if there isn’t a plethora of coffee to choose from. I’m sorry, but that’s false advertising.
Atmosphere is cozy, staff is super polite.

Oh my, what a delicious & delightful surprise awaited me at this restaurant. A friend & myself had lunch at this establishment. What a truly delicious experience it was. Spring rolls were fresh crisp & not at all greasy, plus you get 4. The Pho was out of this world delicious. No kidding, have had lots of Pho over the years, but nothing close to this heavenly concoction. You can tell by the taste alone that the cook definitely takes pride in their work. The aroma, clarity of broth & taste were to die for. Some of the best Vietnamese Pho I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant. The staff were very pleasant, the restaurant was clean & bright & the ladies bathroom was clean. Will be going back here as soon as I get the chance. Would be fantastic if they opened up a branch in Anderson. Anyone who thinks this Pho is tasteless must have no taste buds, this Pho is cooked for 2 days & the taste will knock your socks off it’s that razy good. Do yourself a favor & give this place a try.

Went for the first time today but it won’t be the last. My wife had the wonton soup with chicken while I had beef pho. We also had an order of egg rolls and an order of chicken stir fry that we shared. The portions were large and we wound up with plenty of leftovers. The food was very fresh and tasty. We look forward to going back to try some of their other items.

Everything we ordered tasted great. Flavors were delicious. I wish their portions were bigger and menu had a wider selection. It was also a tad bit pricey and more than what I usually pay for Vietnamese food around Greenville. Still glad I gave it a try.

Our first time here and we’ll definitely be back! Delicious Vietnamese food in a quaint restaurant, prepared and served by a Vietnamese family…you know it’s authentic! The vegetable pho was fantastic, and my wife loved her beef pho. The spring rolls were also delicious. We’ll have to try the Vietnamese coffee next time. Convenient location in the heart of TR too.

Well made food, warm and fresh ingredients, well combined taste. Made me happy on the way home and the remainder of the day: would highly recommend for the price, given how large and rich the portions are.
Hope to travel through here again. I have not been able to forget this, and think about it at meal times.

Workers are great, obviously enjoy the work, was not embarrassed to order. 10/10, hope they do not close, I would really like to eat again. Cannot stress how good it was in the moment.
