The story began back in Ireland when two young Irish lads left their homes with a head full of ideas in search of the American dream.
Fast forward 20 years and now both with families of our own and having worked in pubs all over the Chicagoland, we have taken our experiences and developed a family-oriented, welcoming Irish pub concept. The new Mystic Rogue Irish Pub and Restaurant will be an authentic Irish Pub with great food and drink as you would expect, with a big personality.
So welcome to Mystic Rouge, your hometown Irish Pub, made in Chicago, born in Ireland….. Go Rogue
Neighborhood hangout serving drafts & pub fare & featuring vintage police & firefighter memorabilia.

Love coming to Mystic Rouge!! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is fresh and the people are so kind!! Regardless of who is behind the bar Megan, Sarah, Colleen (or any of the rest) are amazing. Sarah was our server and she was on top of everything. They know how to run things! Donal is the owner and he is around when you need him- has a huge (positive) presence in the place.
I had a party of 4 people and we got:
Irish Breakfast
The spice bag
Toasted Special
Everything was so good, fresh and hot!! We got some drinks (Guinness, Magners, and Vodka/Water/ Mi Wadi) All were good.
Overall no complaints, I am definitely coming back and am excited to try other things on the menu.

Great food and great beer. Love they have Smithwick’s beer. My go-to is the blackened chicken sandwich on a regular hamburger bun. Great crowd with a mix of families earlier in the evening. Staff and bartenders are attentive.

The Mystic Rogue Irish Pub is a charming spot that combines traditional Irish hospitality with a lively local vibe. The menu offers a great mix of hearty pub classics and modern comfort food, from perfectly crispy fish and chips to tender shepherd’s pie and juicy burgers. Each dish is well-prepared and served hot, with portions generous enough to satisfy any appetite. The beer list is also impressive, featuring Irish staples like Guinness and Smithwick’s alongside local craft brews, making it easy to find the perfect pint for any taste.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with cozy wood accents, friendly staff, and just the right amount of bustle to keep things fun. Whether you’re there for live music, a game, or a relaxed dinner with friends, Mystic Rogue delivers a consistently enjoyable experience. The service is attentive and upbeat, and while it can get a little crowded on weekends, that energy is part of its charm. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, share good food and drinks, and soak up an authentic Irish pub feel—well deserving of four stars.

Went for lunch today. Tried the buffalo wings, deviled eggs, Reuben sandwich and the fish and chips. Everything was fantastic except the wings. Wings were inedible and extremely overcooked.
They were willing to comp the wings, which was super nice. However, the interaction with the bartender at the end of our meal was strange. As if she didn’t believe we didn’t like the wings. Even said “we sell a lot of wings here”. I told her we’d return to try them again, but after that interaction, I’m not sure if I would give the wings another shot.

Good atmosphere & friendly staff. Great Irish food with the Shepard’s Pie being absolutely delicious. I’d have taken a photo of the Mashed Potato Ball appetizer, but I finished them before I thought to take a picture because of how great they were. TV has entertaining movies playing, if you go solo, & the drinks are poured like they hate their boss. Most definitely will be returning again.

Took my wife here for her birthday, she loves a nice pub, and we very much enjoyed it. Great food, attentive and kind staff, and a chill pub atmosphere made for a very fun date night. We will be coming back.

We are so happy to have this new Irish gem in the neighborhood. The food is great, had the Reuben, wings and Irish Stew all were fantastic, the stew might look better in a bowl though. The staff was welcoming and attentive, I believe we were served by Debbie. Keep up the great work and we can’t wait to get back and try everything else on your menu.

I found this place on Yelp when we wanted a festive restaurant. It did not disappoint. The waitress was sweet and attentive, the food about what you’d expect at an Irish pub, and the live Irish Gallagher singers made our cold Harp and Guinness draft beers go down that much smoother. It is a very warm atmosphere, a great place to spend time with friends.
So good, in fact, that I booked our party of 27 for the day after Thanksgiving here. The manager calls me four days before the event and tells me his party of 75 now wants more space, so he’s kicking us out. So unprofessional. He should have simply said no to them, that the bar was full.

Great traditional Irish pub with live music, and great food. The fish and chips is HUGE. Curry sauce is, curry-y! The chicken fingers, holy schnikeys! Great draft beer, and cocktails. Plus, this is the go to place for the NW side Irish day parade!! Absolutely a must visit if you haven’t yet been here!

My wife and I got two simple dinners, Chicken Fingers and Fries, and Bangers and Mash. We expected them to be good, but they were both even better than we expected. The chicken fingers were super crunchy on the outside, yet still moist on the inside, the fries were really good, and the beef mushroom gravy that came with the Bangers and Mash was very tasty. The Bangers and the Mash were both pretty good, too. Service was friendly and efficient. We’ll be back.
