This evening I stopped by the new modern Indian fusion restaurant Dum and Grill (D-U-M Grill) to give it a try. The restaurant was fairly busy when I arrived, but I had called my order in about 15 minutes ahead of time, so I expected it to be ready or close to ready.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. When I walked in, my order was not complete. It took several minutes just to get someone’s attention. There appeared to be a language barrier with the first employee I spoke to, who then had to locate someone else to assist. The next employee understood what I needed and told me it would just be a minute — but that “minute” turned into roughly 25 minutes total before I finally received my food.
During that time, I interacted with three or four different employees, and none of them seemed to have a clear understanding of what was happening with the orders. The entire restaurant felt chaotic and disorganized. Several customers were visibly frustrated and complaining about incorrect orders.
What concerned me most was seeing multiple to-go orders sitting directly on the floor — in paper bags, yes — but still on a dirty floor where people were walking and standing. That’s simply unacceptable. Orders were unorganized, delayed, and it appeared to take 10–15 minutes just to sort through bags and get food out to customers.
I understand that new restaurants can have growing pains, but this wasn’t just a small hiccup — it was absolute chaos. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return. They clearly have significant operational issues to work through before I’d consider giving it another try.
**UPDATE**. Online order accepted and arrived to Dum N Grill today 3/4/26 115PM and turned away because employees closed the facility so frustrating this place is very mismanaged

Very disappointing experience. As a customer, finding a piece of foil paper in biryani is simply unacceptable. This is a basic food safety and quality issue that should never happen. It completely ruined the meal and left concerned about the restaurant’s hygiene and attention to detail. Expected much better

The Naan that they serve at this place looks like frozen market Naan and not freshly made. In my opinion, the food was not good. First and last time. Never going again. Would not recommend.

I recently visited Dum & Grill restaurant in Bentonville and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, especially the Sathibabu chicken fry piece pulav is very tasty. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the Bentonville!

The portions are extremely small for the high prices, and both the fried rice and noodles were overwhelmingly salty, with long wait times making the experience even worse. The mutton biryani had only small bone pieces with almost no meat. Overall, the food is overpriced, low in quantity, and if they continue with this quality and quantity, the place will hardly run after a few days when other restaurants offer far better value for much less.
