My favorite Italian restaurant on the northwest side. I actually went to Sapori for the first time on the day they first opened and have been going back ever since. I honestly thought I had reviewed them a long time ago but it must have slipped my mind. I’ll fix that now. We went there for my birthday today. My wife had the lasagna and said it was very good. I ordered the linguine al Frutti di Mare because I love seafood. It was excellent. I normally don’t eat a lot at one sitting but this was so delicious I finished the whole thing. My grandparents were originally from Napoli so eating here makes me feel nostalgic.

This place is magical! Definitely my favorite restaurant on the NW side, and possibly all of Chicago. It was the first “real” restaurant we were ever able to take our young kids for dinner, and I think it’s because the atmosphere is calm and inviting without loud music or loud talking. The servers are also incredibly welcoming and always so sweet and accommodating. And, of course, the food is out of this world delicious. We typically get the pizza because my husband and I are huge fans of wood-burning-oven pizza, and the quality matches what we experienced when we’re physically in Naples, Italy! If you haven’t been, GO. You’ll be happy you did.

Sapori Napoletani Pizzeria is hands down my favorite restaurant!

Whenever it’s my turn to pick a place to eat with family or friends, this is my go-to. What keeps me coming back is the consistency – I’ve never had a bad experience here. The pizza, paninis, and fries are spot on every single time. I haven’t tried their pastas yet, but anything that hits that wood-fired oven – especially their dough and crust —
– is absolutely delicious!

The staff are always kind, welcoming, and friendly, which just adds to the already awesome experience.

The picture speaks for itself… do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I wasn’t overly impressed. Center of both pizzas we ordered weren’t quite as cooked as the outer edges were, and surely needed more cheese. The Bruschetta needed motzerella cheese and a balsamic vinegarete. It was just tomatoes over crispy bread. The late teen girls / early 20 girls (waitresses) were friendly but seemed more interested in chatting with each other at the bar, then checking on us, especially as some tables were clearing out. Would have to again = yes, but I’d make sure I asked for the pizza a bit more well done. We did not order any Italian dinner entrees, so I can speak for the actual dinners.

This place rocked! Ordered takeout did the Tre Carne and pesto pizzas. Got for appetizers arancini and french fries. The arancini are rice stuffed balls with beef and peas. Everything was awesome! I will be coming back!

Chicago is cool and all but the pizza is hit or miss. If you go to Italy, the pizza is all the same! And you eat it with a fork. SAPORI Napoletani has pizza like Italy. Very strong flavor, very friendly waitresses and just kind of stumbled into it. Absolutely would go again and we intend to!

We went Saturday for lunch. Surprisingly there was plenty of seating for a Saturday and the hostess/server was very attentive, refilled our water in a timely manner and did not rush us to order or finish. The food was perfect (we had calamari, seafood pasta, pizza, and tiramisu for dessert). The ingredients were high quality which definitely elevated the fresh flavors of every dish. I absolutely loved how fresh the seafood was and the calamari was perfect. The tiramisu was so good, we pre-ordered some for our family member’s birthday next week. I could definitely tell how well kept the entire restaurant is. It was a very rare occasion when we finished all the food!! This place is a rare gem and a happy surprise for us.

My wife and I love Neopolitan pizza. When ever we visit our kids in Chicago we try different Neopolitan spots. We decided to try this place last minute on a Thursday evening and the drive from downtown took 1 hour to get to the restaurant for a 7pm reservation. This was our first time at Sapori and we enjoyed it. The young lady serving us was very friendly and had a pleasant personality. We ordered a beer and a cocktail, a Caciocavallo pizza and Pizza Con la Salsiccia. My wife said her cocktail was delicious. Both pizzas were really tasty. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall and has plenty of parking available. We don’t have any complaints about this place. If we are in the area, we will stop in again. The bill was $65 not including the tip.
