This spot is full of character. Love the service and the food. We ordered chicken wings and the chicken tacos. I personally had the tacos and they were delicious! I’ll definitely be back to check out all the happenings here!

Surprisingly good food. They had a live concert the night we went and the band was great. Cool vibe and seems to have a lot of local support. Will go back.

Dakota East Side Ice House is an absolute gem! The drinks are strong and well-crafted, the food is seriously delicious, and the atmosphere is fun, lively, and full of good vibes. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back with friends, enjoy some great music, and feel right at home. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink or a full night out, this spot delivers every time!

Great live music on Fridays, just had the special Cajun Meatloaf sandwich served with Jalapeño chips and a delectable salad.

Reminds me of my time on the north shore of Louisiana…

I think the number one thing about the atmosphere is the neighborhood vibes mixed with the diverse foot traffic of Alamo Dome events. Lots of walks of life in here, many stories told and it feels like a place anyone can enjoy.

Great place for a cold drink and/or a bite to eat. Has an eclectic decor but nice. Service was excellent and they have seating inside and outside. Relaxing place to enjoy music as they have both an indoor and outdoor stage.

I’ve traveled to San Antonio many times. In the spirit of the Texas Restaurant Association…”Eat local, Eat often”
This is definitely a local favorite spot found a little bit away from the “been-there-done-that” Riverwalk area.
This eclectic staple has everything needed to enjoy an exciting dining experience. My initial impression was hole in the wall small bar vibe followed by a friendly face at the bar. The bartender quickly greeted us and handed us a couple menus and said “please have a seat and come back to me when you’re ready to order”.
The menu was simple but full of surprises to a classic menu.
For example, they had a hotdog that screamed TexMex meets Chicago.
The layed back bar vibe was accompanied by an amazing small live performance.
A must stop if you are in the downtown/East San Antonio area.

One of my favorite local spots. Staff is always attentive and friendly, food is well above par. Highly recommend coming to the Jazz Jams on Thursday nights. Such a cool spot and experience not found many other places. Parking can be a little rough, but that’s just downtown.

Our party of 3 was there on a Saturday at 5pm to eat dinner before a concert at the Alamodome. We each ordered a sandwich and one person ordered a drink. After 45 minutes our food still hadn’t arrived. My friend went inside to find out why and came back almost 10 minutes later saying that somehow the printer in the kitchen hadn’t been working. He was told they were working on the food right then and it would be 30 minutes. One friend’s food showed up 10 minutes later, mine showed up another 15 minutes after that, and the other friend got his food at 7:00, two hours after we ordered.

I used to be a private chef, so I understand how long food should take. The brisket and pulled pork were obviously prepped earlier in the day, and the cheesesteak takes 5 minutes to cook. There was absolutely nothing about our order that should’ve taken over an hour after the printer issue was discovered. The one friend was given a free refill on his drink, but otherwise no compensation was offered. The food was good enough that my review would’ve been 4 stars, but it wasn’t good enough to withstand a 2 hour wait, nor was it worth the $75 price tag for 3 sandwiches with chips and one drink. I won’t be back.

10/10 recommend this place! The food was so good. I got the tacos and chips with salsa, which was amazing! And my husband got the margarita (I probably spelled that wrong) and queso. Which was good as well! The frozen pink lemonade was . The employees were so attentive and nice. We will definitely be back.

Awesome place! The food is delicious and service is fast and friendly. Great atmosphere. Be warned, the potato chips have some heat but that’s balanced out nicely by the side salad.
