This is a local favorite of my friends here in town!! What a great gem for traditional Mexican food! The flaming Margaritas are a must. There is nothing on the menu you won’t like!! The service was fast and the food was super fresh! Thanks for a great meal. I also loved the hand paintings on the walls and ceilings!! Even the booths are well decorated in family fire side style! Right next to the Fairgrounds perfect way to end a car show or other local celebrations nearby!

Not very busy while we were there yet seemed inappropriately slow. Waitress got my wife’s order wrong and then argued about it. We didn’t want to waste the food, and agreed to eat the meal anyways but we wanted to bring it to their attention. She argued about whether or not she got the order wrong. She pulled out her order slip to say, “look, see” which made no sense because she didn’t write our orders down at the table. So regardless of what you wrote down you can remember it wrong.

Food was about average quality, but wasn’t as good as I expected given the more authentic vibe of the establishment.

Had the trio fajita which was good. Food had a nice spicy flavor.

Kiddo had a cheese pizza which he didn’t care for. But that’s on him for ordering a pizza at a Mexican food restaurant. He enjoyed the fries though.

Wife ended up with the chicken tacos and said they were good but didn’t like the flavor the beans or rice.

Not to expensive. Prices were affordable. Served chips and salsa which was a plus.

Great service. We came in last minute and they seated and served up quickly with a beautiful presentation of my meal and the food was perfectly cooked.

The food and service was impeccable, but when we got our bill, the margaritas were not $10 like the server said. They upcharged us $1.25 for flavoring and it was $11 for a pretty weak drink. The portions were not as large as most Mexican restaurants in the area for dinner. I found the prices to be on point with the entree size, though. The servers don’t speak very good English, so when we asked for no tomatoes or onions on our food, it didn’t actually happen, so we just picked them off. They also charged us $1.25 for a catsup sized cup filled with habenero sauce for our food. The upcharges were really what we didn’t like. As small as they seemed, it was annoying.

The inside is uniquely decorated with bright colors and nice chairs and booths. We had an event there that we were attending, so overall, it was a good experience.

I find myself here again, eager to update my review. Another incredible year of delightful food and exceptional service at El Rodeo Fredericksburg. The only way I truly navigate through the winter is by savoring the vibrant flavors and basking in the warm, inviting atmosphere of this wonderful restaurant. My favorite way to embrace summer? Sipping on a margarita out on the patio! It’s an absolute joy, especially when the fair comes to town; there’s something so exciting about soaking in all the lively energy. While I’ve never encountered a dish that left me feeling disappointed, I wholeheartedly recommend the queso with chorizo, pupusas, steak and shrimp, and the heavenly shrimp cocktail! And above all, don’t overlook the cocktails—they’re worth every single penny and are simply stunning! I am so grateful for my friends and for the fantastic food at El Rodeo. Es mi restaurante favorito!

Confidently the best place I’ve been for Mexican/Salvadoran food. This place doesn’t look like much on the front but it’s absolutely impressive. Nice people, exceptional drinks, all food made in house. Excellent and friendly service.

I’m a big fajitas fan. I decided to give this a shot based on reviews because I’m tired of these Mexican spots serving chopped up meat. Menu is VERY misleading. The photos on menu are not what you receive. I will attach a photo of the chicken fajitas I ordered. Real chicken fajita should be a sliced chicken. Not chopped up chicken. I even asked the waitress!! I said is it sliced chicken or chopped up chicken. She said sliced so I was happy till I got it… I dealt with it anyway because I was hungry. Anyway, I’m going to also attach another photos of how real chicken/beef fajitas should be served. Please don’t disappoint the consumer and provide good quality meat.

Absolutely pleased with the experience. Food was delightful, and serving sizes were frankly enormous. Definitely going to get another meal out of the left overs. Restaurant has a classic cantina vibe with Latin music and murals. We were seated immediately and wait times for food were very reasonable. 10/10 will recommend.

El Rodeo is honestly such a comforting and lovely spot. From the moment we walked in, the waitresses made us feel so welcome, they were friendly, patient, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience feel really homey. The food was incredible; every bite was full of flavor and care. I especially loved the seafood dishes, they were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. It’s clear that a lot of thought and love goes into the cooking here.

The flavors were vibrant without being overwhelming, and everything was just so satisfying. Honestly, I felt cozy and happy the whole time we were there.

I would recommend El Rodeo to anyone who loves authentic, comforting food and a warm, welcoming vibe. It’s one of those places you just leave feeling full, not only from the food but from the kindness and care that’s put into everything. I can’t wait to come back and try even more of their menu.
