Our waitress Lisa P. was amazing! We will request her every time we go in.
The hostess’ however were snotty. Our message said to come in the restaurant. It did not say our table was ready. We stood there for 5 minutes and they were saying I wish these people would come in when notified so we don’t have to wait for them. I looked at her and said my text stated the come in not that our table was ready. She asked our name and said yeah it’s you. I looked at her and said maybe if you greeted people when they walk in instead of being rude you would know who was here and reminded her what the text said. She rolled her eyes but was nice when seating us. We understand they are young and learning. But maybe some training on customer service and how to talk when around customers would help
Fried pickles is a must when we go to Drakes! They are the best we have ever had.

Went for the first time yesterday, I got the happy camper drink with a caprese salad and my fiance got what I think was called party punch (like a pink lemonade type drink) and the mini sliders, we both split fried pickles.
My drink was so good, my partner and I agreed we may come back to both get my drink and the pickles which were also really good, pickles are chip kind and there was a really good size serving of them which I appreciated. Her drink was awful. Do not get it . Both drinks were in a glass that was made to look much larger in the menu photos but was much smaller in person, probably wouldn’t have paid the steep drink price had I seen the cups which scream shrinkflation
Her sliders were okay, nothing particularly amazing or bad, just normal. The fries were really good, we almost ordered more.
My caprese had really great dressing but very few pieces of cheese/tomatoes, the one in the picture had different colors of tomatoes and these were definitely just normal cherry tomatoes despite being advertised as heirloom. Absolutely not worth the 16$ it was priced at.
Overall, it was pretty middle of the road, the waitress did not check on us much and our bill was pretty high for the quality of our food. Might come back for just drinks.
Also they didn’t bring me a fork for like 20 minutes so that is why I was eating with chopsticks, did not try the sushi but there was a huge sushi menu

Absolutely great place to eat. Got the fillet and grilled chicken.. and the best side salad I’ve ever eaten! Wife got mini burgers, tots and we got some great deep fried pickles. About $50 for our meals n appetizer and drinks.

It was good. Could have been better if staff hadn’t been constantly running in and out an exit blasting cold air inside the whole time not sure if that happens often or if we just happened to be there the day that everyone wanted to run outside every 5 minutes.
My wife said the changing table in the restroom could definitely have done with a good cleaning. Not sure how often it gets looked at. But most likely only gets cleaned at end of the night.
Men’s room was fine.
Food was good. The eal roll was good and the ” dumplings” are good. There is only like 5 dumplings so maybe keep that as an entree. Salad was huge. Big enough for 2 people easy. And the 3 little burgers are good.
Food also arrived quickly and the staff was very nice.

We waited to visit the restaurant until the crowd died after the big opening. It’s been almost a month, and although there was no wait now, they still were staying pretty busy.
The inside is a nice, fairly open atmosphere so you don’t feel scrunched up. The booths are really big but also set up very high so short people and kids have some climbing to do .
It’s got a wing and sports bar feel with an added fancy feel to it. Lots of TVs, and they played the music video of the music playing. Everything was clean as well.
My husband loved his hamberger, and my daughter downed hers, too. My steaks were cooked to a real medium rare. I added some great flavor by asking for their garlic dip. My only issue was that the fries were very rubbery and cold. On the second trip, I went for the juicy Lucy sliders, my husband had the fish sliders, and my daughter had a California roll. All of these were yummy. The only downer is that some of our appetizers came out cold.
We went with a 7 person group the second time and felt very comfortable with space and seating.
Overall, we loved both dining experiences and would visit again.

Cross My Stitches
A friend and I were in Danville doing some shopping on Monday and decided to go by Drake’s to get lunch since my friend had not been there before. We both went in it was lunch time it was pretty quiet in the day. I ordered the two piece fried fish and my friend ordered a steak. When are food arrived, we immediately noticed that the steak that was supposed to be cooked medium was very rare and the fish was undercooked it was raw inside of the batter. We spoke to the waitress and she called over the manager and the manager took our food and said that they would take care of it and bring us new food. When are new food arrived my friend’s steak was cooked a medium well and she was fine with that and proceeded to eat. When I cut into the fish again, it was again, mushy and translucent. We again had the waitress call the manager over and I showed her the fish and she said to me, I don’t understand why that is happening. I told her it was more than likely that the oil is too hot in the fryer and it’s not giving it enough time to cook the inside of the fish. I was very disappointed that I could not get this fixed so that I could have a good meal at your restaurant. I ended up leaving with only eating some fries . Very disappointing. I’m not sure if we will return again.

Ordered two sushi rolls- the Mardi Party and Crunchy Munchy and a tailgate burger with fries. The sushi was great, and the only reason that it gets four stars! The burger was smothered in mustard that was dripping off of it, which my son did not enjoy. The fries were OK. I’m not sure I would ever go there for anything other than sushi though. I’ve had better burgers, other places.

I have to say I have been to a Drakes before but the service me and my fiancé received today at opening was absolutely outstanding!!!!! Our server Annie went above and beyond for us during our lunch and we were her first table of the day!! Annie gave us the best service we have had in a long time we would come back just for her even though the food was delicious!!!

Got the Buffalo Mac and Cheese. It was pretty good. Our Waitress Deidra was pretty awesome ! Would recommend coming here esp if you root for Kentucky seamed like the entire Village was here.

Drakes was as busy as it gets with a short wait during the lunch hour on a Wednesday. The service was great, and the food was fantastic with large portions. The Mrs tried the fish (4 large filets) with coleslaw. I had the BBQ burger it was REALLY good with fries!! Our friends had the Poutine Burger with tots and the Nick’s club with sweet potato waffle fries. We each tried the sushi also!!
