Walk into Mira, you feel like you’re stepping into a restaurant in Greenwich village, nyc. The warm amber lights, great beegees music and amazing staff help set the tone. My sister and I appreciated the 2 bartenders and bar back on an 8 bar stool bar. This will assure great service! We started w the octopus, which, I must say, I’ve had 2 other times and it was rubbery and chewy and this was soft, tender and flavorful. We got the delicious mandarin salad which had no lettuce but was jam packed with taste! Last we had the hanger steak w sweet onions. This would be our only critique. If you aren’t going to have any sides you have to add more onions to “bulk” up the dish. They were FAB! Mary happily got us more! We had the huckleberry cheesecake which was a great finish! Drinks were BOMB!!! My sis favored the savory ones. I liked the tiki style! The espresso martini was amazing with pistachio dust..Mary was amazing and attentive ♥️Highly recommend!!

Romantic, hip, mid-century Mediterranean atmosphere. Drinks were excellent and they had a wide range of options to suit all tastes. Appetizers sounded universally delicious – we found the fried cheese a bit underwhelming, however (perhaps a hint of spice could be nice?)
Pasta was fresh and appeared homemade. Filling was to-die-for and got consumed in a flash, but the serving size did leave us wanting more. Rigatoni (not pictured) was also great, bigger portion too – but did seem to lack in the quantity of duck provided.
Lamb Ribs were almost fall off the bone tender with an excellent glaze. Paired with the yogurt, crisp rice, and pickled onion, every bite was unctuous and divine.
The hanger steak (not pictured) was well cooked and tasted great, but be prepared to supplement this one with some apps or dessert.
Speaking of – the tiramisu was heavenly! Potent espresso soak of the ladyfingers layered with the creamiest richest marscapone, YUM! Good sized dish for the price too. Dessert drinks also held a great selection, the I’m Working Late was the BEST espresso martini – elevated with the cardamom and pistachio shave on top of some impressive foam.
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and appreciated the experience put together by the team. Staff were quick to refill waters and address any needs of patrons. Be prepared to spend some $$$ and you’ll have a great time being treated to an experience here!

We were able to snag a table at Buffalo’s hottest new restaurant, Mira, by requesting Resy for a notification if anything became available. It was a late reservation, 8:45, and we ended up being the last diners of the night, but we never felt rushed and were quite welcomed by the entire staff in this beautiful space.
We started the night with some mixed drinks, the Mira Spritz and the Funky Cold Medina (the song now delightfully rolling around in my head). The spritz was fantastic, layered, dry, and quite enjoyable. The Funky Cold Medina was really good and a great aperitif, but it was served with a seed cracker that was unbelievably fantastic in this beverage, a great balance of flavors with a hint of toffee, really complimented the drink!
It wasn’t long before we were seated. We thought naively that each course of the tasting menu would be bite-sized flavor morsels, but instead found that the portions were not scaled back… we definitely got our money’s worth for this menu! There were four courses, but each of them had two dishes, and we were able to sample so much from this menu that we had to slow down and take half of course three home with us. We should have done the same for the pasta course too but instead ate most of it because it was so good. Next time we’ll know better.
Course 1 started with the Fried cheese, a nice presentation with a flavorful balance of the fried halloumi cheese and the honey and pistachios, a great starter. Our other part of the course was Tuna Conserva, so many delicious flavors in the beautiful dish, we really enjoyed this one.
Course 2 consisted of Rigatoni with braised duck, and a Radiatori in cream sauce with prosciutto crudo, a dish only served with the tasting menu. The Rigatoni was perfectly cooked, and everything about the dish was well balanced, quite good. The Radiatori was a unique shape, perfectly cooked, bathed in a basic cream sauce. By itself you would have thought it’s just nice… but the prosciutto crudo (raw) was amazing! This prosciutto is seasoned and dry aged for 24 months, and is the star of this dish. On its own it would be overpowering. However, combining the pasta, sauce, and meat was an amazing, flavorful morsel that I will remember for years, as the prosciutto needed the backdrop of the Radiatori pasta and cream sauce to really shine! This was perhaps our favorite savory dish of the night.
The third course consisted of Swordfish Spiedini and the Chicken thigh with roasted garlic tahini pepperonata. Both were beautifully presented, and I started with the swordfish which was cooked perfectly and so delicious. I was so stuffed at this point that I only took a bite of the chicken, which was flavorful and tasty as the tahini hit my tastebuds to make sure I knew it was there. I smartly packed up the rest to enjoy it the next day.
Accompanying our meal we enjoyed delicious wine. The Toalini Al Passo, a Sangiovese blend, started off slow but really opened up as the night went along. The Lepage Pinot Gris was complex and interesting, a very enjoyable wine that paired really well with most of our dishes in the tasting menu.
Finally it was time for the pastry chef to shine, the other half of the incredible husband and wife duo preparing our delicious food, and we were not disappointed. The tiramisu was layered and delicious, well balanced, and very enjoyable. The Milk + Honey Panna Cotta, however, was incredible! So many flavors bursting through, every spoonful was a delight! Just one of many things we enjoyed that would bring us back to this Buffalo hot spot!
At the suggestion of our server, Marsie, who was an an excellent guide for us all evening, we chose a digestif to finish the evening, the Amaro Bordigo Dilei. We wanted something new, but wanted to avoid the anise flavor usually prominent in Amaro. It was a great choice, dry, with notes of honey, citrus, bitter orange, and tea, with a long light bitter finish. A perfect exclamation point to our great evening.
Overall we really enjoyed our experience and can’t wait to come back for the next tasting menu!

We visited last weekend for our three-year anniversary. I booked our reservation five weeks in advance and still only secured a 9:15 p.m. slot, so it’s clear this place is overwhelmingly busy—and for good reason. We ordered the fried cheese (evidently crowd favorite), the Greek salad (perfectly fresh, acidic, and crisp), the chicken thigh (my favorite bite of the night), and the tortellini. While the tortellini was very solid, it was also the most expensive dish we ordered and felt unremarkable—both in portion size and in flavor, definitely a plate you could order at another restaurant.

The cocktails were excellent; I loved both the “Usual Suspects” and the “I’m Working Late.” The olive oil cake was a blissful way to finish the meal. Be warned, we still stopped at McDonald’s on the way home, so if you have a big appetite– plan accordingly.

A few notes on service and ambiance: the restaurant is beautiful and cozy, but incredibly loud, likely because of the packed bar. The music didn’t start playing until we were nearly finished eating, and although not every restaurant needs background music, it did help soften the noise level once it started. The overall vibe seems to aim for a romantic, upscale dining experience, but the noise and high-energy bar crowd slightly contradict that intention.

Service felt a little disjointed, but given that this is the restaurant’s first month open, some growing pains are understandable and were in no way detracting from the meal. The staff were friendly but visibly stressed, which contributed to the fast-paced atmosphere that I’m not sure was the goal.

All that to say, none of the above reasons are good enough for you to miss out on this delicious meal, but amend your expectations of a quiet, romantic candlelight dinner and expect a little more chaos. I will absolutely be revisiting, and I think this has been one of my favorite dining experiences since coming to the Buffalo region.

Had such a great experience here tonight! The restaurant is cozy, modern, and so thoughtfully designed. We tried the fried cheese, suppli, and ribeye, and every bite was incredible. Easily some of the best food I’ve had in Buffalo. The service was attentive and genuine, and you can tell there’s so much care put into every detail. Can’t wait to go back soon!!

Update: After having a Saturday brunch, I had to try dinner and it didn’t disappoint! The group & I sat at the long table (walk in table) which I actually loved! We were celebrating a friends birthday and sitting right in the center of the action with amazing vibes surrounding us made this a super fun experience! The food, I got pasta with extra sauce and it was something I’ll now crave for… yes that good. I feel like a salesman for this restaurant but if I was a super skinny guy I’d say don’t trust my option. Lol. I know food! The waiter even brought over a “candle-lit” ice cream. What a GREAT dinner! I’ll be back!

HANDS DOWN BEST RESTAURANT IN BUFFALO! If you are complaining about price or portion size you have zero clue about what good food is and need to keep eating at Chef’s and Duff’s instead (I know you’re out here paying $20 for 10 wings). Everything is so light here which is a sign of fantastic food. The pasta also rivaled what I’ve had in Italy and somehow they do it better than any other Italian restaurant in the area. They even had Aesop soap in the bathroom which is bonus points and just shows the owners aren’t messing around.

Mira was such a great experience. I ordered the Fettuccine and my friend got the Mafaldine, and both dishes were fantastic, flavorful, fresh, and clearly well thought out. For drinks, I had the Molto Bene and later a glass of the Luna Duna Orange wine, and both were excellent. My friend ordered the Ruby Slipper, which she loved as well.

Our server Megan really made the night. She was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and drinks, gave great recommendations, and was genuinely friendly and attentive the entire time.

The space itself is cozy and has a a really nice vibe, the kind of place you want to stay and hang out for a while. Overall it was a great night and I’m already looking forward to going back.

At the moment I can only speak for the brunch that I had, but I was absolutely floored. Without exaggeration, this was the greatest brunch I’ve ever had in my life. This restaurant is an absolute gift to have in Buffalo, and all I can say is you need to experience it for yourself as soon as possible!

How lucky we are to have a place like Mira in Buffalo- been here twice already and both experiences were exceptionally lovely and delicious. Food, service, interiors, vibe, all 10/10. Also, skipping dessert here isn’t an option.
