Best nachos in my opinion. Not like most places where only the top layer of chips has toppings. Each individual nacho had toppings and it was very flavorful. We ordered a couple of different items off the menu and all were pretty good. I most definitely recommend the super nachos though.

1st time eating here. I got the steak street taco lunch special. It was good. Food arrived quickly and the service was very friendly. Clean restaurant. Would like to return and try some other entrees in the near future.

In line with every other Mexican restaurant I’ve tried in Louisiana. Basic flavors and nothing that stood out. The nachos were made with what seemed like Tostisto chips from a bag. Very tight with the guac on the nachos and sour cream. Service was excellent and the waitress was very friendly. While I have paid $20 (with tip) for an enchilada plate, or an order of nachos, the price should match the flavors. That wasn’t my experience at Tampico’s. Gave it a shot, but not ready to return any time soon.

Got scammed out of $26.50. I will never eat here again…. Called and spoke with the manager Joe. He wasn’t friendly at all and he couldn’t understand what I was trying to tell him so he just hung up on me.

Granted I’ll admit my buddy and I went in an hour before closing but due to slow service we didn’t leave till 10 minutes till closing time. Our waitress kept walking away and going talk with another worker for 10 minutes each time making out service slower and slower each time

I really enjoyed this visit to Tampicos! The service is good and the food was out fast. I had the steak Fajita chimichanga. The presentation was unique and the steak….OMG, the steak had and amazing smoked flavor that you don’t find in many local restaurants. For me it set them apart to make my meal a special treat! There was even something I have never had before anywhere on this plate. It was a sweet super moist corn bread type of dish. Idk what it is called but it was super good, I wish I had more of it on the plate.

Dined here today for lunch and will not be back. Not authentic mexican and served bland food. The rice tasted like walmart brand, salsa like straight tomato sauce. Business was slow and it took forever to be served and no geniune hospitality. Didn’t even come back to get us refills and we were seated for an hour. 2 adults 2 kids. Queso was great, though. My 3 year old tore it up! The prices do not match the product.
