Great atmosphere, was quiet early Saturday evening. Clean, comfortable, and fantastic family service. Food came out quick, even for the place being slow at the time. Prices are hard to beat. Know in advance that it is a very limited menu, with limited hours, but understand this is a small family who also has other jobs. Seems like they do this more for the fun of it, than as a job. Nice change of pace. The flavors in the brisket could be emphasized a little more, the pulled pork was good, and the ribs had a uniqueness well worth a try at least once. Sides are good, desserts are tasty. Definitely a nice sidestep away from the norm in the Newark/Lyons area.

Go out of your way and eat at this place. We saw it on a list of best BBQ places in upstate New York and decided to try it. It was amazingly good. The food is not spicy but the seasoning and flavors are incredible. We tried all four menu items: chicken, brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. All great. The brisket looked dry but it was the most tender and moist I have ever had. The ribs were tender, had great bark, and fell off the bone and were coated in a nice sweet red sauce. Portions were big and included two sides and dessert for a low price. The desserts are incredible and homemade. The menu is small, and it’s only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday because the owners themselves cook everything fresh and work other jobs during the rest of the week. Great, friendly service. You will be very glad you ate here.

Ambience was nice. One of the chicken plates was undercooked, but was happily able to change it out. Brisket was dry and not seasoned, ribs were decent. Mac and cheese was really good. For the price, it was a decent night out, but with this dubious quality of food I can see why it isn’t very busy on a Saturday night.

We had dinner here this past weekend. Hubbie wanted BBQ, we were not disappointed. He had the ribs/brisket combo, and I had the rib dinner. Wow, everything was whisked to our table in jig time, and was utterly delish. You pick 2 sides to go with your meal, plus a chunk of moist, yummy cornbread. Then dessert (included), which we took home. Portions are huge and perfectly seasoned. The owners are very friendly and I am so glad we stopped.

While only open Thursday through Saturday the food more than makes up for it. Beef brisket, fall off the bone half chicken and ribs are all amazing. They have fair prices and good combos. We almost always leave with left overs.

Such a quant little place to get amazing homemade barbeque. Meals come with dinner and dessert and the they are flavorful. The menu is very small but that is because they make everything homemade. Set up is similar to Dinosaur BBQ, for a main meat and two sides, but so much better. Not good for a vegetarian or dieting person. Just good BBQ. The dining room is small and simple. You can get take out as well. Pay attention to the hours, they are only open certain time and days of the week. Mostly Thursday – sunday.

I had the open face pulled pork. My wife had the half chicken and my daughter had the pulled pork and our food was amazing. We had no idea that this kind of BBQ existed in Wayne county. We are already thinking about what we will order next time we are in Lyons.

Best smoked chicken I have had yet! So worth a visit! Only serve A few items with beer and maybe wine. But worth it. Home made deserts are ok.
