Slightly pricey but the portions were large yet not excessively filling. I had the coconut shrimp and they were delicious! The little sauce that comes with it had the perfect balance of zing and spice too. The octopus tacos were also amazing! The octopus pretty much melted in my mouth. The waitress/hostess (I forgot her name ) was incredible, super friendly, attentive, and even had a chat with us while we waited for the food at the start. I took a slice of the chocolate cake dessert to go too, and that one was super yummy as well.
I really hope this place continues to grow because they deserve it and you can really taste the quality, detail, and love that goes into each dish. 100% will be back to try some other stuff!
The star of the show was the octopus tacos, the green shrimp ceviche was mouthwatering. I do prefer east coast blue point oysters so I would pass on those if you’re picky.
Overall, this place was worth the drive and I hope you give it a try.

Our visit was marked by impeccable food and, most importantly, truly great service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout the entire meal.
The culinary creativity here is off the charts, especially with their masterful use of octopus. We started with the refreshing Octopus Cocktail, which was tender, perfectly chilled, and swimming in a bright, savory broth—the ideal start to a seafood feast. Next, the Octopus Tacos blew us away; each generous helping of buttery octopus was wrapped in a tortilla held together by cheese.
However, the dish that stole the show—and is an absolute must-order—is the audacious Tostadas Unagi. This fusion of Mexican tostada crunch with perfectly glazed, rich unagi tuna is a stroke of genius. It’s sweet, savory, textural heaven, proving that the kitchen isn’t afraid to take bold, delicious risks.
To wash it all down, the relaxed atmosphere is perfectly complemented by their generous offering of buckets of beer. It’s the perfect authentic touch for sharing and chilling out while enjoying world-class seafood. Costamar manages to blend sophisticated flavors with a relaxed, celebratory vibe. Unfortunately we didnt choose good dishes. Tacos de pulpo were not my favorite. The octopus was chewy and the aguachiles arrachera was hard.
Ordered the coconut shrimp and Octopus Govenor Tacos (pictured). The coconut shrimp was prepared differently from what I was expecting but had great flavor.
The tacos were so good and they did not skimp on the octopus. Will be coming back.
