Stopped in for an early dinner and glad we did. The past few Mexican food dining experiences in Showlow have been huge let-downs so tried La Casita. This place nailed it!
Awesome staff, inviting atmosphere, and the food was on point!
Can’t wait to go back.

First time trying this place today with a friend. Ordered the Chicken Taco salad (add scoop beans) & Machaca Chimichanga Combo plate. Friend said Machaca was a little over cooked but my taco salad was the BEST so far on the mountain! Service was friendly and fast. Clean restaurant.

What to say about an amazing experience and fabulous service and outstanding food. Fast efficient and truly incredible Mexican food. If you’ve ever been to Ava’s in Snowflake this might just be better. The fajitas were simply to die for and talk about plenty of shrimp.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem with Heart, History, and fabulous food!

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food served with soul, look no further than this small, history-rich local treasure. The place is old, but read that as classic, authentic, or vintage! You can feel the decades of continuous pride and tradition offered here.

Every dish tastes like it was made in a home kitchen by someone who truly cares. From the tortillas to the slow-cooked meats, down to the beans and rice, all great choices! Their base salsa hot sauce is 2nd to none. All the food has that perfect balance of heat and flavor you can’t fake. It’s the kind of food that instantly transports you.

The staff genuinely seem happy, and even thankful you stopped by. It’s a rare find anymore.

What makes this place special isn’t just the incredible food and service—it’s the feeling that you’re supporting a piece of local history that has fed generations. You can taste the tradition in every bite.

If you haven’t been yet, go. And if you have been, you already know why this little restaurant is one of the best-kept secrets in town.

My favorite: Chicken enchilada with flour tortilla and red sauce!

Excellent authentic Sonoran Mexican food. Pick your seat and service is quick. Employees were in a zone and always hustling. Food was great. We stop here whenever we can.

This place is busy on the weekends, but the servers are trying their best to keep up…they did a good job. The enchiladas were awesome, but the chili relleno was not really crispy, instead a weird egg batter thing. They give you a bottle of salsa at the table, which is cool, but it’s really watery and the chips are just okay.

Food wasn’t to bad but not amazing. Chips were good, salsa was ok. The people were nice and the place was busy, obviously a local spot.
