D’s Caribbean and American food location on N 22nd Street has great food that makes the whole store smell so good. You get hungry even more just standing waiting for the food to finish cooking. Everything was delicious! The shrimp pasta had amazing flavor and the sauce was perfect. The sweet potatoes were seasoned just right, the collard greens were tender, and the rice & peas were really good. But that jerk chicken? Oh my God — so tender, so flavorful, fall-off-the-bone good. Got the curry chicken platter with Mac n cheese curry rice and peas and candied yams the Mac n cheese was burnt at the bottom also they tasted like they were left over the candied yams had a very strange taste to them kind of like a waxy taste really hard to explain. The one guy is disrespectful and not professional. I ordered two platters and they didn’t send my sides with my order. I called and the guy was super nonchalant, told me he had so many things to do and kept me on the phone without saying anything. Then when I ask what can he do , he said nothing. I have been ordering from them left to right and now I’m done. They are also stingy with their meat portions. This meal look like it’s for a damn dog. Shame on them! Will never support them again

Ouuu I’m so mad right now i paid 26$ for the worst oxtails ever, they’re burnt, can’t even chew them no gravy or nothing. The sides were ok but I wouldn’t recommend ever ordering there oxtails.. I know how to make them myself really good so I’m erked & pregnant.

Purchased delivery and ate from this establishment on sunday the 28th, since then ive had terrible food poisoning symptoms and constant upset stomach. I dont know what was in the chicken or any of the foods but I would not recommend after this terrible experience. This was my first time trying this restaurant.

we have ordered from here many times throughout the years and I hate to say but they have seriously gone downhill. I always get the large jerk chicken and the portion USED TO BE huge. this time I got it I got two tiny drums and one tiny thigh cut in half instead of a full two thighs like before.
my husband ordered fried whiting and there was literally NO FISH in the container! just rice and mac.
i ordered a side of mac n cheese which was not in the order at all. the mac n cheese from my husband’s missing platter was not good – dry and bland. the beef patties were dry and stingy with filling.
this place used to be so good but DO NOT order from here! no excuse for such poor execution. there was ZERO tampering with my packaging and this place likes to lie on other peoples reviews and accuse drivers of stealing to cover up their crap service. DISHONEST AND NOT TASTY.

The food is absolutely delicious. I have never ordered delivery but I have never had any issue with anything I’ve received on pickup. Prices are a bit high but reasonable for portion sizes. Hands down the BEST cabbage I’ve ever had.

This might be the best meal I’ve ever had. First time having this Caribbean meal of Jerk Chicken, Collard Greens, and Cabbage (also rice + spicy jerk sauce).
Phenomenal chicken, seasoning, greens, rice, sauce, cabbage + good packaging. Food was still hot after a 45 minute drive.

*unreal* deliciousness. curry chicken, greens, cabbage, sweet potatoes— all equally phenomenal. this was my first time & can’t wait to come back. also I really respect their google review responses— honest & earnest, even on unfair reviews (reviewing the delivery service, for example).
