Service is slow and the wait is long, but it’s worth it. The drinks are top notch and the food was creative and delicious. Definitely make a reservation though!

Karaage: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow, so amazing! Crunchy, sweet, savory, and the cucumbers with the chicken really elevate it
Truffle fries: ⭐⭐⭐ Good, but a little floppy and the truffle oil overpowered the jalapeño aioli
Ravioli Florentine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazingly good. Normally ravioli is so stuffed with ricotta that you can’t taste the filling, but this was done so well
Pepperoni pizza: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect neopolitan pizza

All the drinks are 5 stars too

Thank you to the entire Guildhall staff for making my wife’s 70th Birthday such an amazing celebration. Everyone and the food were fantastic. Along with incredible help of John, the manager, I was able to organize a brunch for 42 people even though I live 2000 miles away from Chicago! John was very responsive, competent and calm (despite my anxiety). Our wait staff was wonderful and the food was delicious! The staff even helped us decorate their very nice space to make venue even more special.

I only went for happy hour, which runs pretty early but has some nice deals. Lovely space. We sat at the bar. I am really glad I read other reviews before going because the temperature, at least at the bar, is really HOT. I dressed in layers, but honestly, I would have died if I didn’t have a removable cardigan. Wish they would turn down the heat. Ok, that said, the wine specials were nice. Above average. The truffle fries were really good, the charcuterie/cheese board was nice (but no fruit and only one hazelnut), and the olives were also tasty. I would like to try their pizza sometime. Looks really good! Service was polite but not amazing. Overall, this is a cute place with a lot of regulars.

Went for dinner without reservations on a busy Wednesday evening. We got seats inside and our waiter responded in ~10 minutes of seating.

We had 3 different kinds of sushi, espresso martini, the bread, burger, espresso and tiramisu. The food was as expected and the wait staff were polite.

Recommend making reservations here. Good food, great decor, and the service has gotten slightly better. They do charge the extra surcharge at the bottom of the receipt you can request to be removed.

The restaurant itself is very nice. The food is delicious. The whole place created a wonderful impression. I had two dogs with me, and all the waiters were extremely polite, checking if everything was fine, being kind to our sleeping dogs, and even bringing a bowl of water for them — which completely melted my heart.

But then came the moment of payment, and it turned out the restaurant only accepts physical cards. I only had Apple Pay, and so did my friend. They should have warned us in advance about such a restriction. Fine, maybe they forgot — it happens. They called the administrator to help resolve the issue. A woman named Ekaterina came. She suggested I transfer the money to her via Zelle and she would pay the bill. Okay, that seemed to solve the problem.

But then she started acting unbelievably rude, saying that for a $70 bill I am OBLIGATED to add tips. She cheapens this wonderful restaurant with her provincial manners. I stayed silent, but my impression was already ruined. I entered the amount, and she repeated it again: “You left too little, you must leave at least twenty percent.” Does she even have the right to dictate that?! Can’t I leave cash directly to my waiter if I want? She looked absolutely pathetic. How can anyone feel like leaving tips after such words? She should not be the face of this restaurant.

And she didn’t stop there — she actually said: “Girls, have you even been in America for long?!” How shameless do you have to be to speak to guests in such a tone? At the very least, I should not have to listen to such remarks from an administrator. That’s how one single person can ruin the impression of an otherwise wonderful place. I would strongly recommend the owner to train this administrator in proper guest relations — she clearly needs to improve her qualifications.

Snooty service. We went for a Valentines Day breakfast and the lady who was at the front was not only rude but lied that they were fully booked when we requested for a slightly better table (we had a reservation). We stayed for an hour and the place was only 1/4 full the whole time.
Food was decent though it’s more a one and done type place.

This restaurant, which aims for a fancy image, unfortunately missed the mark during my recent visit. The pizza was marred by an excessively salty feta, leading to a very unbalanced taste. The main courses were equally unimpressive: the salmon was just okay, and the ratatouille was drowning in oil. Overall, the experience was a letdown, with overpriced dishes that didn’t come close to being enjoyable.

We attended a baby shower at Guildhall and it did not disappoint. Very classy and memorable. On street parking with a parking lot across the street, I believe, but I got a spot right away right in front of the restaurant. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. A variety of drinks were available and the food was delicious (and preselected by the mom-to-be). If it were at all close to home I would definitely frequent.

Excellent quiche! Sweet welcoming atmosphere. Our server was absolutely fantastic, warm and nurturing. After the loss of Meg’s Cafe, we need that in Glencoe Quality tea, salad was wholesome and delicious. I appreciated the whole experience and will return!
