I had an amazing experience at Gourmet Restaurant in Frederick! We ordered the Chicken Kabob Platter, Half Chicken Platter, Beef Koobideh Kabob, and the Lamb Shank — every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and well worth the price. The cashier/probably owner, was friendly and efficient, and our order was handled smoothly. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and delicious Mediterranean food!

Good service and absolutely delicious food for really affordable prices. I ordered the lamb shank platter, falafel sandwich and Diwali (grape leaves) and Beef Kubideh Kabob platter. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered a lamb shank for the price of the platter! Everything came with a side salad and bread (which I couldn’t figure out but think might have been made in house).
Everything was spiced to perfection and cooked perfectly. The falafel was just right. The grape leaves were some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant, I usually prefer to just make them at home. Can’t wait to bring my Baba by another day. Will definitely be frequenting this place. Don’t forget to try to Pomegranate soda/malt beverage they have in the cooler.

It was our first time at this restaurant, ever since we moved to Frederick I’ve been looking for a place like Notos in Laurel where part of the menu is chicken over rice so imagine my excitement when I found this one!
The food was fresh, hot, flavorful and juicy. You can tell it was made to order. We had fried chicken over rice , shawarma platter and a side of hummus and blended strawberry juice(fresh!) Serving size was generous, everything we ordered was really good, one of the best naan and chicken we’ve had. My husband who’s hard to please was like “Man, I wasn’t expecting it to be that good”
We got home with 2 to-go boxes and a full meal for tomorrow!

Want to shout out to Gourmet restaurant on East St in Frederick. The food is PLENTIFUL and DELICIOUS. We weren’t sure what to order. So we got a chicken shawarma platter, seasoned fries, and a gourmet sampler with hummus, baba ganoush, 3grape leaves filled with beef, 3big falafels, and a beef and a vegetable samosa. So much food reasonably priced. Also got 2 large warm pitas with our meal. So, so good. We will be back. It was a yummy feast.

We went to Gourmet Halal today and the food was absolutely delicious. The half chicken platter was juicy and tender, served over a flavorful base of rice. We also ordered the chicken kabab platter and the shawarma garlic fries — both were amazing. Everything was freshly made, and the customer service was excellent. So happy to have another great halal spot in Frederick!

Just ordered the lamb shank to go at 10pm at night, and the quality and service was awesome. The lamb shank looked just like the photos, big and meaty, and it tasted excellent, fire. Truly great food for a great price too! Really don’t know how these guys do it, but keep it up! I will definitely be coming back for more and to try the rest of the menu

Delicious! No pictures to share because I ate it all too quickly Both the chicken and the koobideh were tender and juicy! Rice, appetizers, etc were also all terrific. Cannot say enough good things about the quality of the food, and you get a full meal out of the portion! In addition to the food, the employees are so kind and welcoming! Will be back for sure.

We hadn’t heard of this place until a friend recommended it the other night. We got a Togo order of the gourmet sampler, kabob, and half chicken. Holy smokes it was all so good! Well portioned and fairly priced. The owner said he uses his own blend of spices. We will be back!

Me and the friend went to the restaurant yesterday and the owner was there. He was very friendly. The food was very very delicious. Everything was very fresh we had the chicken shawarma over rice with the salad And the lamb shank with rice And he made all of this food himself just for us for our first time there The atmosphere in the restaurant was very peaceful. There is plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. Also for people’s convenience. I highly recommend this place to anyone 10 out of 5 stars I’m a fan for life and I will be back
