My wife Becky and I ended up spending a couple of days in Mtn Home and found this great restaurant just off I-84 exit 95 called “Savory Layne Steakhouse”. The atmosphere was great the food & price was exceptional. And to top it off our waitress, Becca made us feel at home and brought everything together with ease. We ate there both nights. For dinner the first night I had smoked brisket, loaded baked potato, with three smoked bacon wrapped poppers. It was perfectly smoked and tender not only did it look good the taste was out if this world. Becky had a chicken strip basket. She said it was the best she’d ever had. The second night I had liver and onions, mashed potatoes, and a bow of smoked baked beans. Becky had a Chipotle chicken wrap. They both were great! Then to top it off the second night we aso had desert. I had warmed up apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Becky had pumpkin cheese cake. This restaurant has it all!! Plenty of options to choose from and at a very reasonable price too. If you ever get a chance to eat there, you’ll be happy you did.

I wish we never came here. The steak was supposed to be medium well and it looked rare. It mostly had fat then meat. And it was hard to chew. The mash potatoes were whatever. The potato wedge skins were more burnt the crispy . It sucks that we had to pay 27 dollars for a steak that was barely edible. The server was nice. But I wish we never even went there & def won’t be going back.

Stopped in while heading from Boise to Salt Lake City. Was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was! The wine selection was awesome! It was all Idaho State winery wines. I liked how they featured local wines.
Everything we ordered was good. There was nothing that didn’t meet our expectations. Every time we go to a place that has country gravy, we always get a little sample to see how tasty it is. This country gravy was so good. We ordered some to go so we can make country fried steaks at home with their gravy! Our server, Baylor was really great. It was really busy when we were there and she was still really at tentative and got everything we needed. She was really good in the end when we started ordering random stuff to take home with us! She made sure we had everything we needed to wrap up and head out. She also asked us if we wanted Dr Pepper‘s or waters to go. This is going to be our regular stop every time we have to drive from Salt Lake to Boise and back every two months.

Food was top notch. Ordered a ribeye with mushrooms and apple pie for dessert. Friendly staff. Big gravel parking lot out back if you’re in a semi or an RV.

First visit. Not the last, even though it’s a 25 hour drive. Home made corned beef hash without all the fillers. Sooo yummy. Pancakes were very good. Bacon and eggs perfectly cooked to order. The omelet my brother had was great. His grandson Toby devoured a Belgian waffle that looked good. Our server was EXCELLENT!!! I’m sorry, I can’t remember her name. Super friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. To her, many thanks.

The waitress was kind and friendly and always checking to see if we needed anything. The food tastes great! It was delivered in a timely manner. It was alot of food for the money, we couldnt finish it and had to take it home.
We will be coming back!

We went to Savory Layne in Mountain Home for dinner, and I greatly enjoyed the smoked turkey breast dinner with a baked potato and salad. The turkey was tender with a well-seasoned rub and two delicious barbecue sauces. The baked potato was fluffy, with a crispy skin and was available loaded for no extra charge.
Our nephew had the brisket and described it as tender and flavorful. My husband and sister-in-law both enjoyed their entree salads.
Our server, Baylor, checked with us to see that everthing was to our liking and provided friendly, efficient service.
On our way out the door, I noticed that Savory Layne had won an award for best barbecue in Central Idaho, and I can see why. I don’t get to Mountain Home very often, but I will definitely visit Savory Layne when I do.

Food was great. The tater skins were very very good. Spicy bloody mary was fantastic. A little too much ice, give more drink than ice but the pour was good. The reuben was on point. The dirty mac is great. Our waitress sara was superb and gave us great feedback on options and was very atentive.
