Delicious wood fired pizza made to order; by hand! We were hungry after after hiking the Watkins Glen State Park so we walked down to the Colonial Inn for their outside pizza! Ordered the Margharita pizza and was not disappointed! Waited about 20 minutes since there was 3 pizzas in front of ours – but totally worth the wait. We took it to go and ate every piece. $17 for the whole pie and it was cut into 4 pieces. It was just the two of us so it was the perfect size and amount.
We will be returning tomorrow for the ice cream portion!

The firewood pizza is amazing. We ordered veggie with onion and mixed paper. It’s very close to Watkins glen so perfect place to go to for lunch. They offer parking Which is good. I just wish they had more items may be something for appetisers. But overall, great pizza.

We were on our way out of the Finger Lakes and looked to Google to find a place. With 4.8 stars we chose this place.

What a huge disappointment. Our friends ordered a pizza and we were next in line. My husband asked the worker/owner how he was and got a look of disgust as he turned away to make our friends pizza, not acknowledging that there were 4 other customers. We decided to go up the street instead and Im glad we did as the pizza was a disappointment for my friends.

Hopefully this place will improve and regain its status. Definitely won’t go back.

I’ve never given a bad review on a restaurant, but we had too many negative factors on the visit we just had not to. As soon as we walked up, the man running the pizza area barely even acknowledged us, so much so, our friends left to get food down the street instead. What upset my husband was when an older couple approached and he barely acknowledged them either….the woman asked for napkins and instead of handing them to her like any civilized human would, he barely responded to where they were (she could barely walk) then the pizza ….we ordered a margarita and it had dried basil! I’ve never in my entire life went to a restaurant that used dried basil. I understand you may run out of an ingredient, but you let your customers know. The sauce tasted like tomato paste and the pizza was swimming in it…..and although the mozzarella was fresh, there was barely any on it. (I have pictures, but am unable to post them for some reason)

Thought to stop with friends while vacationing in the area. We weren’t greeted but instead stared down at with no words from the person at the wood fire pizza. So four out of 6 of us left and went to the next pizza place nearby, walking away feeling very unwelcomed. Our friends who ordered….they threw away their pizza after trying it! Margarita did not look good. Fresh mozzarella not fresh looked like shredded blobs and dried basil.
This post is in no way to be mean to the guy running it but hopeful he can turn it around and enjoy serving customers and making the pizza.

This was one of the worst pizza we ever ate. It was tasteless, ( cheap cheese) and the pizza was burnt on the bottom. I was surprised as it has so many good reviews. Yes it was served during a festival so maybe that is why its bad. We wont be trying it again. Service was fast and pleasant

Actually really enjoyed the pizzas, just a little expensive for the size and dinning ( only outdoor seating behind a small fence) right on the street.

Hands down delicious pizza! Accommodated 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 veggie and reasonably priced. The wood fire crust was perfect – the authentic char, real mozz cheese, great quality toppings…can’t beat it.

Note that hours may vary (open later) from Google maps as the owner said he might keep hours longer when weather is nicer and with demand.

Delicious oven brick pizza! Perfectly cooked, leaves you craving for more, crust was crispy as it should be! Highly recommend! Friendly service from the guy running it! I’m a few hours from home but will definitely stop by again before leaving!

Within walking distance of the Watkins Glen main entrance, the smell of a wood fire draws you into a quaint, fenced in area anchored by an unassuming shack. But don’t let looks deceive you. The wood fire oven perfectly crisps the underside of the thin crust pizza, adds smoky tones to your pizza, and is perfectly complimented with a healthy amount of cheese and well seasoned sauce. The selection of pizza was sufficient. The personnel was friendly enough. All that being said, if you have a craving for a NY style pizza, this place will not disappoint. The pepperoni pizza was fantastic and was plenty of food for my wife and I.
