My husband and I walked in and were told we could sit anywhere we’d like. We sat down and were greeted by our waitress. She took our drink order and we ordered the garlic cheese curds as our appetizer. We didn’t have to wait long for our appetizer and drinks.

Our garlic cheese curds were served with marinara sauce which neither of us cared for. They curds would have been much better with ranch dressing. We ate them without dipping sauce. They were really good. We’re from Wisconsin but have never been to a place that offers so many different types of cheese curds. We’ve never had garlic cheese curds that were fried anyway.

The waitress took our dinner order when she brought out the garlic cheese curds. My husband ordered the 1 lb angus double stack burger with ketchup, lettuce, mayonnaise, onion, and provolone cheese with fries. I ordered the 1/4 lb junior angus burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mayonnaise with tater tots.

My husband said his burger was phenomenal. The flavor was outstanding, there was just the right amount of grease and juice on the bottom bun. It didn’t leak out of the bun but left prints where you held onto the burger. The lettuce and onions were fresh and crispy. The fries were just your average frozen fries. The taste wasn’t anything special but they were just fries.

My burger also had really good flavor. The only thing I would suggest is having smaller buns for the junior size burgers. I got full halfway through my burger due to the bun. The tater tots were cook fried perfectly. They were crunchy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. There wasn’t a lot of added salt on the tater tots either.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We didn’t have any issues and our food was fresh and hot. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Absolutely the best fried catfish I’ve had since I was knee high to a grasshopper… If in area it’s a must stop all you can eat catfish Fridays…. Served with french fry tater tots or coleslaw coleslaw was so good it was gone before I took the picture

I want to start off with a positive in saying the burgers were good. Now let’s get into the negatives, first of all they were not very busy at all but we stood at the front door for about 5 minutes before anyone greeted us, we ordered an appetizer of cheese curds and our meal. The meal took probably about 30 minutes to come out and they had completely forgot about the cheese curds, I let them know and they said they would give us a discount and they said they were sorry so we tried to just move on. We thought it would be a few more minutes and then we would get our cheese curds but no, we finished our entire meal before we even got the cheese curds, we were already ready to leave before they arrived but we still waited and tried 2 or 3 because we were already full from our meal hoping that the discount would be worth the wait, just for whenever we got the bill for it to have a 1 dollar off discount of our 12 dollar cheese curds and our 50 dollar meal. We couldn’t enjoy the curds at all because of their constant mistakes with them just for them to give us a slap in the face discount, if I would’ve known how small the discount was I would have told them to cancel it completely. This was unacceptable. I get it may have been an employee discount but still. Along with the whole cheese curds debacle, all of our tater tot’s were not even warm at the slightest and my son’s grilled cheese was cold. A pretty horrible experience from a place that seems to have so much potential. I hate to leave such a bad review for a place like this but whenever you mess up someone’s order and experience this bad you have to do better than just giving them a dollar from the 50 they spent, that’s just greedy.

We stopped along I-44 at Rich’s Famous Burgers in St James, Missouri. I tried the Western Burger (1/2 pound hand-pattied Angus beef, cheddar cheese, onion ring, BBQ sauce, on Texas toast) with fries. It was quite good and worth the stop in this quaint little town.

A friend recommended this place, and it seems like a popular local spot. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. The burger was really unique—I didn’t expect it to come on toasted bread instead of a regular bun!

Our server was kind and explained the menu before bringing out the food, which we really appreciated. Even the cola tasted great!

Four Words:

Hot Pepper Strawberry Jam!

This alone makes the trip worth it, but the burger was flavorful and fresh, the sweet tea on point and the fries crispy and hot.

A must-stop if you’re passing through town or in the area. Ask for Tabby, she’s super friendly/sweet and doesn’t have claws.

We usually order from this place but sometimes sandwiches come with no fixings.

Today we got a burger, that was supposed to have lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese based on the description, and it came like this. Nothing inside. So we basically paid $10 for an empty burger sandwich. And the coleslaw was bad too and smelled awful. We had to throw that out too.

Bre was our server and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made us feel genuinely welcome and comfortable, like we were at home rather than just out to eat. Her energy, kindness, and attentiveness really stood out and made the whole experience so much better. You can tell she truly cares about the people she’s serving, and that kind of service is rare. I will definitely be coming back specifically for her , she made the visit unforgettable.

The good reviews must be for anything other than breakfast. Based on breakfast, I would be very hesitant to return.

The chicken fried steak was a frozen breaded patty which wasn’t cooked very well. The sausage gravy had an odd taste, similar to rye bread, and everything was served lukewarm, at best. Portion sizes were nothing to brag about, especially for the prices.

Our server was pleasant. She brought drinks immediately, but we needed a minute to look at the menu and decide on food. It took her a bit to get back to us, but I understand we initially weren’t ready.

The restaurant is spacious and clean. It looks new, or newly remodeled. Wheelchairs could easily navigate the layout.

The burger was delicious. I would absolutely get a to go order from here and come back for just he food. While the servers all seemed very kind and polite there was a lot of sitting down at a table in a group. Not a big deal at all. But the young lady misunderstood my order and charged me almost $10 for an appetizer I didn’t ask for, but asked for the topping to be placed on the side. When I asked the waitress about this she apologized for her mistake and asked if I wanted a to go box. When I said no because I didn’t order these, I actually asked for it to not come on the burger, she brought me the check with the item still on the receipt. It was a very slow Sunday night so it’s a little disappointing for a first visit. Great quality food though.
