Turners Fish Restaurant is a real gem. The food is very good, freshly made and tasty, and the staff are lovely — welcoming and friendly. Inside, the place is clean, tidy, and really well looked after.

I noticed they’ve made some new arrangements recently that make the restaurant feel even cozier than before. It’s not very expensive either, which is a big plus.

The location is perfect too, just a few steps from the town centre. If you want to eat inside, just head right upstairs — it’s easy and relaxed. You can even book a table without any trouble if you prefer.

Definitely a great spot for a meal in Spalding!

Myself and my friend went in on Saturday. We have eaten here before and as always it is very clean. We chose fish (Cod) and chips from a varied and reasonable priced menu. The drinks are a little high priced though. We chose milkshakes which were lovely and a can of fizzy drink. Extras were 2 bread and buttered rolls and mushy peas. The fish was golden and luscious and the chips were tasty.
Well worth a visit. Up and downstairs seating. Covd rules in place. Very friendly and polite staff. Customer service excellent.

I went in the shop to order a battered sausage, 2 kids fish and chips and 1 large fish and chips. The service was diabolical. I spent about 5 minutes trying to understand what the three members of staff on the till were saying and decided to leave when they told me that they don’t do kids fish and chips meals only fish fingers. Very rude staff.

Generations of my family have been coming to Turners for many years but no more for me after tonight. Fish & chips, chips gravy & fishcake and one can of drink for over £17 was cause for concern but once we opened the boxes, it was the tiniest piece of fish with a huge amount of chewy batter to try fool you, which it didn’t. The fishcake appeared to of been stood far too long as it was all dried out. All in all a absolute rip off. The man that built up Turner’s will be turning in his grave over the rubbish it sells now.

Not quite five stars as they don’t do skinless Haddock – only Cod. However, the bread roll was fresh (and actually comes with real butter not cheap margarine). The soft drinks come from a dispenser and this is why one foolish reviewer below commented you’re unable to pour them yourselves – of course you’re not able to, just as you’re not able to pour your own Pint in a Pub! The food was cooked fresh, hot and well presented. Portions were reasonable (but I’m not an overweight north eastern bred person) so this was ideal. Prices were on the higher side, but the place has had a recent refurbishment and attentive staff so this made it good value overall. Well worth the trip to.

THE best Fish n Chips where time has stood still.
Freshest of fish, potatoes, young and sweet, picked that morning making the best chips. A delightful, efficient, service culture not changed, nor with hang ups about customers. All the traditional condiments and a setting with looks from the 60’s era. Every visit to the UK we’ve always had to visit Sheddy’s aka Turners for the Fish n Chips.

Fantastic Fish and Chips every time. Sat upstairs in the restaurant next to the window. Great tasting food cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Definitely recommend. Bread rolls are from the bakery nextdoor.

Have used Sheddys for many years, however last night I paid twenty pounds for fish and chips which the server ruined with salt. Never again will I say “yes” to the salt and vinegar. A really lovely meal ruined. Very disappointed.

I’m gonna be honest turners used to be by far the best fish an chips in spalding but they are far from that now, the last 2 times I’ve been in the food hasn’t been up to par

Fish has been dry an absolutely drenched in grease an the fish cakes were the same. Had to take rennies after just to be able to stomach the food.

A far cry from what they used to be, personally I’d stick with oh my cod down Alexandra road, probably cost a little more but far better for the money.
