I love Mexican food so I’m always trying different places. First time here and was the first customer of the day. Waitresses 5 star, very attentive and polite. They start you off with salsa and chips. The salsa doesn’t taste homemade like most places. It was very thin and soupy. For appetizer I got the plain wings. They were seasoned well no complaints. Main dish was Texas Fajita. Portion size very small compared to other lunch portions. I was actually looking like where is the rest of the food. Glad I got the appetizer or I would have still been hungry. Food had a slight charred taste. Yes I know it was cooked/served in a iron skillet but all Mexican restaurants do and the food doesn’t have a charred taste. For me a one and done place but be your own judge. The price is good overall.

San Marcos in Chatham VA, is a pretty good place to get mexican food. My son really likes their Chimichanga’s, so I treated him to lunch today while in the area. Their salsa is pretty standard fare, it is tasty and fairly mild. It is a puree with no veggies. I do like the fact that each person gets their own small bowl of salsa, no dealing with “double dippers” here. They do offer a lunch menu, which I ordered off of, I chose the 1/2 Chimi plate that comes with one chimichanga filled with chicken or hamburger, and your choice of rice or beans.
My son ordered the Shredded chicken chimi’s off the regular menu which included 2 Chimi’s, and your choice of rice or beans. The portions are a little on the small side.
The atmosphere is cute, not over the top, but decent, and inviting. The service is good, and your food arrives quickly. Our total luncheon bill for 2 plates, and 2 diet soda’s was $33.98 before tip.

Great place! The customer service was amazing. Our waitress was attentive and had a smile with every encounter. Food came out timely and hot. The serving size exceeded my expectations. Delicious! Will definitely visit again when I go to Chatham.

Food was dry, there were many cuts made! No. Longer impressed! This has gone to an absolute low! Everything was undercooked and flavorless! The carne asada was like Jack links! Will never order or go back! Garbage! Taco Bell has more flavor! What a joke! Used to be good customers!Fed the steak to my dog! Atleast she enjoyed it, for the money!
