I have lived in the Seneca area for many years and never eaten here. Last night my wife and I decided it try it. Walking inside was not what I expected from the outside of the building. It is a blast of color and very nicely decorated. Our server was friendly and funny and took care of us very well even though we came in an hour before closing. The food was delicious and portions were huge. This place is definitely worth checking out

I’ve eaten at several Mexican or Spanish restaurants over the years, this was my 1st time here and I plan on going back. The restaurant was very clean, the associates were super friendly and did a great job of taking care of our table of 4. Food was HOT off the grill and not to spicy fo us. This was our first dining experience there so I can only give a review for our first visit The sweet tea is some of the best I’ve ever had !!! The location is easy in and easy out, the meal prices were very cheap and affordable compared to other restaurants we’ve been to. Thanks you EL AGAVE TEAM for having such a wonderful place to dine with what seemed like a bottomless menu to choose from. Oh by the way they are very very GENEROUS with the portions. If you leave hungry its your own fault.!!

My families and I first time here but won’t be the last. We were seated quickly and our drinks came out quicker than we could have made them. The server was amazing and the service was great. Food was the star of the show. Hot and cooked perfectly. We came to hang at the lake and found gem. This place was amazing and we will be back.

I brought my kids here for the first time and they loved how colorful everything was. The service was a bit uneven.
The good: salsa, cheese dip, fajitas, and cheese quesadilla
The bad: chips were a bit thick for my taste, grilled shrimp was chewy, and the rice was very crunchy
Overall, I don’t think that I’ll come back. There are too many other options around and the prices for eating out are too high for “just okay.”

Every time we’re in town, we MUST stop by El Agave Restaurant. The food never disappoints, and the service is always phenomenal. We especially love their lengua tacos – they’re simply the best! Hands down, El Agave is a must-visit when you’re craving authentic Mexican food. A++++

This is a standard Mexican restaurant in the heart of Seneca SC. The staff was friendly, the spaces were clean and the food was quite good. We really appreciated the decor, bright and warm, it really went a long way to helping the yummy food take you right to Mexico!!
I knocked off one star as the lunch portions were unusually small for your typical Mexican restaurant. It was so good I wanted just a little bit more. And I am not a large individual with a large appetite!
We would definitely return to try more!

Walked in and was welcomed with a very nice “Hiw are you today, how many?” Walked us straight to our booth and took our drink order straight away…brought chips and salsa …allowed enough time to browse menu, took our order and was very vigilant over our drinks…once food came out, the adult plates hot and the kids plate lightly warm along with their food as not to burn their mouths, that to me expressed me to no end, food was tasteful and well prepared, food good sized portions …checked out with a gracious thank you and hope to see you back soon…waitress was very nice …we will be back!!! May your visit be just as wonderful as ours was…The SmithClan

Stopped here for a late lunch, decor is bright & cheery. Their hot salsa is great, i ordered a burrito, with shrimp & tomatoes, onions, & a sauce. It was fairly tasty. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, rice was ok. My only complaint was at one end of the burrito there were no shrimp. Will try this restaurant again, their Guacamole Mexican is pretty good also.

I was disappointed with my experience here. They charged almost $3 for just two small pieces of lime for my water, which felt unreasonable, and the food wasn’t very good either, and expensive ($20 for a fat and thin steak). The staff were polite, but overall, I don’t think I’ll return, and unfortunately can’t recommend this place.
