I stopped by Mr. Moto Pizza in Pacific Beach for a to-go order and had a mixed experience. It took around 10 minutes just to place the order and another 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready. There were only two staff members running the whole shop, and they seemed overwhelmed by the high volume of orders. I genuinely felt sorry for them – they were doing their best under pressure.
That said, the pizza was worth the wait. I ordered a vegetable pizza, and the taste was excellent – fresh ingredients, great crust, and full of flavor. The location is also unbeatable, just a short walk from the beach. It’s a perfect spot to grab a pizza after a swim or beach hangout.
Just keep in mind that parking is very limited in the area, so plan ahead if you’re driving.

We visited Mr. Moto this week during our visit to Pacific Beach. The pizza was very tasty and perfectly cooked. We went back two more times this week. The service is excellent, they are very considerate and thorough. We’ve called a couple times this week and the folks that answered the. phone were pleasant and very helpful. We found our new favorite pizza restaurant here in Pacific Beach.

Casual and hip atmosphere. Service was great and the pizzas were good as well. NY style pizza by the slice is exactly what you will get when you come here. You choose the slice you want, and they will heat it up. We came here twice during our stay. Watch the TV for a comical treat while you wait for your food. I would recommend this pizza joint and will come back for our next trip to Pacific Beach.

Wow! This is good NY style pizza. Almost a hole in the wall pizza joint. Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. Outstanding! The crust was light and good flavor. The garlic knot was okay. Staff was ver friendly, polite and professional.

Our go to place when in PB, ordered a custom veggie, however the crust was extremely soggy, ordered a large and had to toss it in the trash. We could not lift the slice without it falling completely apart. Toppings tasted great, but the crust was extremely bad, it as watered down, love this place, however, the Crust we had was the worst I’ve ever seen. Toppings were great. Might be that I waited for 45 mins, when asked if my order was ready they looked for it and it was in the heater box? Not sure if that messed with the crust. Well anyways hope they figure a way to get the crust on point.

Waited over an hour to get a pizza and never got one. They had a promotion going on for a Free pizza and trick you into ordering through the app and then not delivering what you ordered and suggest a free cheese pizza. Bad marketing and bad promotion. Don’t waste your time. Need to have better organization.

My family and I enjoy Mr Moto pizza, we have visited the North Park & La Jolla location (when they had it, it closed down). My husband and I are beyond disappointed with this location, it was our first time visiting this location, and your cashier Jose gave me little to 0 costumer service. He was very unfriendly when I went to place my order, he rudely corrected me about the garlic knots, he also didn’t even bother to give me my printed receipt.
My husband went to pick up our order and they told him that they have sold our stuffed garlic knots, as you can see on my receipt they charged me for stuffed garlic knots that cost 7 each a 14 dollar value, Jose didn’t do anything, my husband asked for a refund and he couldn’t even do that! My husband asked him how could he sold us product they don’t have, when I placed the order they did have stuffed garlic knots. All Jose did was offer the 6 regular garlic knots that cost only 10$ short from the value of stuffed garlic knots I ordered !
This isn’t even about the money! I’m writing this review in the very very poor costumer service we were given by your employee Jose and their mistake!There are bunch of people ready to work, and you have someone who basically did not want to be there and gave poor costumer service.
-Never coming to this location ever.
