Drive too fast and you’ll miss this gem. She is small, but Sunrise Cafe is bursting with great food and that warm family feeling that keeps us coming back. The cooks are wonderful, and the waitresses are so kind! There was an older gentleman sitting at the bar near us our waitress walked him out to his car without hesitation. You don’t see random acts of kindness like that too often. That paired with the prices, and we are very pleased with this place!

Cute diner. Very well priced. Food was very bland though. I ordered a Sante fe sandwich. It was very bland and swimming in mayonnaise. My partner ordered a burger he also said was bland. All he could taste was onion and mayonnaise. Very heavy on the mayo. French fries were delicious and perfect, So was the service. Place is outdated/ not terribly clean. The seats are quite worn/ tore up.

Very nice country cafe. Great food and nice atmosphere. Popular little cafe. Worth the wait. It’s like getting a home cooked meal. When traveling thru, I would definitely recommend this country cafe.

A classic American diner vibe with excellent service & sizeable portions.

I’m a local to Dexter for two years & finally stopped at this Pleasant Hill Classic with some friends.

One friend ordered a Mediterranean scramble and loved it, I got the Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious.

The hot chocolates are MASSIVE! Be warned.

The service was amazing and our waitress tended to us with speed and grace, even while training a new hire.

The food is definitely soul food vibe && a sweet spot indeed.

This little diner is a gem! We love to visit for breakfast. The food is always quality, service is wonderful. We have never had a bad meal and love to try new things. My daughter loves the biscuits & gravy and waffles. Steak or ham are both great options. We like the build your own omelet or meal options as well. The loaded hashbrowns are delish! And the homefries are good too!

Very comfortable place for breakfast. Friendly staff. And relaxed low key atmosphere. Tasty home fries and eggs Benedict for me. More Hollandaise would be even better . I like how the Sunrise has a collection of coffee mugs; each one different. They offer a breakfast special that’s a good value.

Cozy local brunch spot where the servers know their repeat patrons by name. We ordered the Loaded Haystack and the Northwest skillet and watched the chef cook it fresh. Satisfying portion sizes and consistently good flavor. Very reasonable prices
