The use instant-mash potatoes, canned beans, and the biscuits are raw and undercooked. The breading on the chicken was soft and wet-feeling.
It may be the worst fried chicken meal to ever exist.

Ok The new roasted chicken is great!! Its well seasoned, very tasty!! I look for healthier choices and being baked not fried is super. The service was fast and very friendly. Oh and the green beans and biscuits were wonderful, well seasoned and fluffy. Now when I do go less healthy, the spicy jumbo dippers are perfect just the right amount of kick to them and Lee’s give you a large amount!!

The cashier was great very helpful friendly. The store was nice clean well maintained staff were busy making sure we got fast friendly service. The food was ok it wasn’t the Lee’s of my childhood. It wasn’t that taste that you had to have anytime you were near one. The spicy flavor had a drastically milder not quite pop that I was use too. Maybe this review will encourage the owners to move for more flavor of the past that will really make people drive from Mike’s around to get a taste of childhood back. I live in Macon Ga we drove to Eastman Ga to try it but the only way I’ll go there again is we got to be passing through that way, verses just driving back because it was worth the 1 and 1/2 Drive. God bless i wish the store well.

This is my honest review of Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Eastman Georgia on my visit date of 8-28-2025 your opinion may differ from mine.
This was my first visit since their grand opening a few months ago.
I visited at lunchtime and was extremely disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food that they served me and my two guests that accompanied me. The fried chicken tasted like it was reheated from the night before or had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. The chicken was dried out and had a rubbery texture to it. There is nothing better than the taste of freshly fried chicken that has just come from the cooker. Believe me when I say that this chicken was not fresh at all. When fried chicken is reheated or been sitting for a while, the texture and taste completely changes. They should be ashamed for serving chicken of this poor quality, especially only about 45 minutes after opening. The first fried chicken of the day should be hot, fresh, and delicious. This chicken should have been thrown out or served as scrap feed for hogs!
The macaroni and cheese tasted like it had been warmed over with water added to it to soften it up. I stirred it up and what looked like water separated from it on my plate.
The potato wedges were cut so thin that they should have been renamed potato slices. The potato skin was almost as thick as the actual potato wedges.
I ordered the 3 piece dark with mac- n- cheese and potato wedges. The 3 pieces of chicken served to me today combined were smaller than one thigh served during their grand opening period. The potato wedges served were a joke. I don’t know what is going on at this Lee’s Chicken. Maybe they decided that they could save money by serving extremely small chicken legs and thighs. Maybe they decided that they could save money by reheating left over chicken. Maybe they decided to cut back on the potato wedges size. The wedges served to us today
were cut into several smaller pieces compared to the potato wedges that were served during their grand opening period. I don’t know if this is what they did or not but my mouth knows the difference between fresh and old fried chicken. With the cost of eating out rising, places that serve the quality of food that they served us today may not go out of business, but they will definitely lose business because of it.
I don’t think you will see the road blocked off in front of this restaurant like it was during their grand opening very much anymore, serving the poor quality and quantity of food that we received. I can better spend almost $34 dollars somewhere else.
I don’t think the Chick-fil-A mobile trailer parked at the hospital will be forced to leave anytime soon.
I will say that the employees were great and that the unsweetened tea was very good.
I waited till the newness of this place wore off to review this Lee’s Chicken. They have quickly gone from 5 stars during their grand opening period to 1 star today, in my opinion in a very short period of time. Why does it seem as if every new restaurant that opens up in the Dublin, Eastman and Cochran Georgia area always seem to rapidly deteriorate as far as the service and quality of food is concerned.

We drove 2 hours get eat Lee’s. I grew up eating this chicken in Ohio and this is SPOT ON. If you come here and don’t get the wedges or biscuits you’re cheating yourself out of something good.
The lady working the front counter was awesome.
We will be back.

Today we ate at lee chicken and the potato salad automatically made me think of a Sunday meal after church or a picnic at the park because not all chicken places have potato salad so that was definitely a plus .. the staff was friendly the restaurant was clean the tea was sweet the biscuits were fluffy and the chicken was crispy..

It was my very first time at this location and it was disappointing. The chicken strips were at the very least a day old. I could taste the left over chicken taste. The potato wedges were soft and soggy. The Mac and chs was pretty good and their biscuits are good. I was so disappointed because I wanted this place to be good.

They used two fingers instead of a breast on my chicken sandwich. Not only that they barley put any sauce on the sandwich. The chicken it’s self was dry and hard to chew. I got mashed potatoes and it takes like chicken. Even the gravy tasted like chicken. The whole thing was a let down but the servers were nice and got me in and out quickly. All in all the services was good but I would not recommend going.

Best to buy when they first open because the chicken is freshly cooked. If you go after 8pm the chicken isn’t as good because it’s been seating for to long. It’s cold and not fresh.

What an outstanding experience. Pulled up as an out of town lunch run and they are doing a training before they open. Owner grabs us in the parking lot and brings us in and feeds us and sits there chatting with us while his staff uses us as training clients. Food was outstanding. It was an example of true southern hospitality. I can’t wait to go back. You owe it to yourself, family, and friends to go get some great chicken and better sides!
