The staff are all great, this isn’t about them. It was about the fried chicken wing I had with my breast for $2.99. I’m not sure if they cook the wings with the breasts or not? But the wings were over cooked, the coating was hard, there was hardly any meat on my wing like it was all cooked away. I know when using a broster, the juice stays in and grease is kept out, juicy meats. Not in this case. I just wish I would be there when the food came fresh out. I’ve had two chicken kabobs and both times, Luke warm. I’m sure these are better tasting hot! Someone needs to do something about the chicken wings that come with the regulars chicken piece meal.

visited Dodge’s Store in Gautier, Mississippi. It is a great place to stop for gas, groceries, snacks, or a quick bite to eat. The store is clean and well-organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Nick, the store manager, and all the employees immediately greet every customer who walks in the door. They are always vibrant and go above and beyond to ensure that all guests are greeted and attended to promptly. The workers have a positive moral work ethic and are always energetic and genuine in how they treat their guests.

Stopped last month and got gas on 1/20/2023. Spent $75 to fill up thinking it would go right back to my card. My husband says, “baby, I don’t think this store does that, so go check”. Sure as you know it, he was right.
Then they say they’ll have to give my money back the same way I gave it to them (me knowing it was a debit purchase that was not pending and they could have given me cash). After allegedly getting refunded, they initially told me it would be 3 to 5 business days. When my money did not go back to my card during that time I called the store. I was told to speak with Miranda and that she would be in a few days later and to call back then at 9am.
The day I called back they said Miranda was not in and they did not know she wasn’t going to be in. Me being me, I just said ok and asked when to call back and they said the next day after 10am to give her time to get settled in. As a government employee, I know things in the work place can get hectic, so I could respect that.
Upon speaking with her she informed me it takes 7 to 10 business days, but said I was only on day 8 (then I told her what I was initially told at the store). She said she was going to send it up anyway to see what was going on, but the lady she was sending it to like to wait the 10 days. And either her or the lady would give me a call back. No one called. Well, after 14 business/ 20 regular days I called back. The lady who answered the phone this time told me that Miranda was in the store, asked who was speaking, and asked me to hold on. Then she picks up the phone and told me she can’t find her, but then she says hold on again. Then she picks up and says nope she could not find her, and told me that she’ll tell Miranda that I called.
Today is 16 business/ 24 regular days. Let me just say that all of the women, including Miranda have been nothing but nice. So they do deserve the one star for that. But that does not give me my $31.59 back and yes, I have the receipt.
Edit 2/14/2023: I called yesterday morning in regards to the response below, it went to a voicemail, I left a message and still no response.

I’ve been coming to the Dodge station in Gautier Mississippi every since I’ve been in the state of Mississippi which is about 30 years now the prices are always pretty low just as low almost as the Murphy station Gautier .. their food is OK although I don’t like fried food so I did try the turkey legs one time and I was actually very surprised they were pretty damn good!!! Their location is right off of Bienville Boulevard easy in Easy out and the restrooms are normally pretty clean the coffee is good and they also have the discounted prices on the soda machines.

The food here is great, fresh and the service, well let me say this, I couldn’t have been more pleased. I had a problem putting oil in my car and went in to ask for help and the lady came out to help. She was very sweet and made absolute sure I was well taken care of! I just couldn’t believe the service, from a convenient store attendee ! This is not a normal convenient store! There is no better service except at maybe a hotel! They all in there are very sweet and well mannered! They have a new regular customer!

Staff is friendly and professional. Wings are a little expensive but worth it. Recently had an episode where after getting home found I had received the wrong item, and was initially told policy was after leaving the property, the item could not be returned/replaced. But after the person I spoke with contacted the home office they made good on the sale.

I stopped there for gas and ended running inside getting some chicken strips and they were fantabulous. They were the perfect amount of crunchiness, the flavor *muah*, and the chicken was perfectly cooked giving you some juicy chicken. All in all the chicken was great!
