Was having a really great time. I hadn’t paid for any of my own drinks due to the guys that were paying for us, tried buying my own drink for the first time and the lady told me “tipping is optional so is my service”. Considering I am a server myself and would’ve tipped, I didn’t appreciate the attitude she gave us considering I never got a chance to pay for myself. Also ur drinks are $13 each? For a dive bar, ask ur boss for a better cut.

I am out with my friend for a celebration. I had this worst experience with a red head bartender. My friend was buying a $14 martini and going into her purse for a tip, before even getting the money out the bartender was yelling at her about not giving a tip. Being a server and in the serving industry this was the most disgusting and ugly thing I’ve ever experienced in a bar or in general.

Cool dive bar to visit and get away from the “kid crowd.” Of you’re nearer to 30 than college aged, it’s nice to just hang and out and talk without yelling. Smoking bar though, so if you don’t smoke, that’s the only down side.

I originally wrote a detailed account of an encounter with the owner of Egan’s that was disappointing. To his credit, he contacted me today and apologized for the way he acted, which is good enough for me to change my review to a positive one.
Egan’s is a cool place, and it turns out the owner seems to be a decent guy who took accountability for an unfortunate situation. This is too rare in today’s world.

Oldest and Best bar in T-town. I have never met a stranger, as much as that every time that I go, I meet “new friends”, “newer acquaintances”” , and “old souls”… Egans has something that connects everybody to every body.
