Parker Hollow delivers an elegant yet comfortable dining experience, perfect for a refined night out in the heart of Parkville. We had an excellent time and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the meal—from the creative appetizers to the thoughtfully plated entrées and a beautiful dessert.

We started with the grilled octopus and Hamachi crudo as appetizers. The octopus was perfectly charred on the outside and tender inside, paired with complementary flavors that let the quality of the seafood shine. The Hamachi crudo was fresh, bright, and delicately balanced—light, citrusy, and beautifully plated.

For dinner, we had the Fisherman’s Stew, Wagyu burgers, and a beet salad. The Fisherman’s Stew was rich and comforting, filled with fresh seafood and served in a deeply flavorful broth. It was the kind of dish that warms you up and satisfies without feeling heavy. The Wagyu burgers were juicy and indulgent, cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The beet salad was fresh and earthy, a lighter contrast to the heartier entrées and a great palate cleanser between bites.

We finished with the pecan coconut tart for dessert—decadent, nutty, and sweet without being overly rich. It was a perfect ending to an already excellent meal.

The ambiance was cozy yet upscale, and the service was polished and attentive throughout the evening. Overall, Parker Hollow hit all the right notes and left us looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended for food lovers and anyone looking for a special evening out.

Tonight was my husband’s and my first time visiting, and the overall experience was truly 10/10.

We started with two of every oyster, the crab special, clams, and a Caesar salad with catfish nuggets. For our entrées, we shared the special of the day (tuna collar) and the wagyu burger—everything was absolutely superb.

The staff was wonderful, and you can genuinely feel the integrity and care the owners put into every detail. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic setup Parker Hollow has! Small, intimate table seating vibe upstairs, with a lively and energetic bar and chef’s counter on the first floor. The place is small, so plan accordingly, and ideally get a reservation!

The food was some of the best we’ve had in the city! For our appetizers we had:

Daily oysters – Fresh and delicious and paired well with the accompaniments.

Dungeoness crab appetizer – Light and refreshing with a nice crunch from the pork rinds.

Black Label Jamon Iberico – Wow! it melts in your mouth! Do not skip this one!

For the main courses we ended up with:

Fisherman’s Stew – Full of assorted seafood, veggies and a broth that you can drink! Goes well with the toasted bread to sop up the broth!

USDA Prime hanger steak – Cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth! Fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend!

To round out the meal, our desert:

Sherry and Thyme Poached Pear – so flavorful, not too sweet, and not too tart. Wonderful!

There are eight tables in the restaurant area. Only one server was taking care of all eight tables and it seemed to be a bit much. The food was good and served at a nice temperature. Very charming and intimate environment. Staff was very courteous. We ate upstairs in the restaurant and I would like to go back and try the raw bar which appeared enticing.

Nice place great food. Oysters were delicious, no grit and tasty sauce. The smoked tuna dip was great, house made crackers were just a little too salty. I had the octopus which may have been the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. It was so tender anyone would love it. Salmon dish is a good choice as well as the hanger steak or Wagyu burger. I had the pecan coconut tart for dessert and you really don’t taste the coconut. There was a bit of a delay getting dessert but otherwise a great leisure dinner. There is no elevator but if you’re unable to do stairs, you could reserve a seat(s) at the bar area.

The long awaited opening of a legit seafood restaurant is now open! Chef Jonathan was the owner of renown Justis Drugstore in Smithville which now occupies the spot where Franks was for years. Parkville is coming alive! Loved the clams in miso broth with gnocchi! The gnocchi were tender and the clams were divine! The yellow and red beet salad was delicious
with the watercress and sesame seeds. Truly love and try octopus whenever it’s on a menus and this was delicious. He sources the octopus from Spain…that’s the kicker! Well done, we will be regulars. Oh and we sat at the Chefs table so were could see the action!

We sat at the chef’s table and this has to be the single best meal I’ve ever had. My girlfriend set this up for a date night around Christmas time and it could not have gone better. Chef Justice curated the menu and walked us through it the entire night as well as gave us extras at the chef’s table you don’t get anywhere else in the restaurant. We recommend the clam chowder, the iberico jamon and the tuna collar. Some of the best food we’ve ever had. This has to be on your list of places to go in Kansas City hands down

We were there on the soft opening and although there are some kinks to be worked out, we were so happy with the new establishment.

I don’t know what the full menu will look like but everything we had was very good and the people around us commented the same.

The mussel/gnocchi dish was something I’d never had before and it was amazing.

The couple behind us said the 2 desserts they had were great but the cake was one of the favorite desserts they have had in the area.

The current wine list is small but well curated and reasonably priced.

I’m sure this will be the first of many visits!

I recently visited Parker Hollow and had a wonderful experience. It’s rare for me to say this, but I truly liked everything about this restaurant.

We started with the steamed mussels, which were excellent — well-seasoned and perfectly prepared. I had the New England clam chowder as my entree, and it was flavorful, and very satisfying. I also ordered the poached pear, which was beautifully done and a perfect, lighter finish. My husband had the fisherman’s stew and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also tried the seabass collars off the menu, and they were a standout — an unexpected highlight and a great recommendation.

The wine selection is impressive, with plenty of options both by the glass and by the bottle, which made it easy to find something we liked.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and well-paced throughout. It actually felt like stepping into a restaurant from the movie *Ratatouille* — charming, refined, and a little bit special. Everything felt intentional, from the quality of the dishes to the overall experience.

This is a place we will absolutely return to, and I would highly recommend it.
