New World Kitchen is a healthy, vegan meal prep service with pick up and delivery options. It was launched in 2012 under the name New World Café — the first 100% vegan restaurant in Des Moines. The menu focuses on whole food ingredients like grains, beans, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Order on our website every Tuesday through Thursday and pick up your meals the following Monday — or have them delivered! A new menu debuts every Tuesday morning, so be sure to check back for new items weekly!

This was my first time ordering delivery. I have purchased and enjoyed various items from them over the past several years from retail locations. I decided to finally try delivery and treat myself for the holidays. I’m so glad that I did and I would like to do it more often, when I can.
Their food is so enjoyable and you can tell it’s made from quality ingredients.
The owner is very nice. And the business itself was very organized and had great communication about my delivery.

The food here is incredible. It’s not a restaurant though, so keep that in mind! You have to order any food you want, and they will have it ready to pick up on Monday. We order a couple things each week and I look forward to the day we get to eat it. Their salads are always fantastic. Highly recommend to any vegans or just anyone that wants some good, healthy food.

The best vegan food in Des Moines. My favorite meals are the extra large salads — the Southwest Cobb has a ton of flavor, and the Smoky Pecan Salad has a wide range of ingredients, including a coconut bacon and blueberry combo that is amazing. I appreciate the healthy meal options to take to work for the week.

Everything is an explosion of flavor combinations and textures. Madeleine does an amazing job however this salad, the Smokey Pecan Salad, just entered a new realm. Absolutely amazing and my new NWK favorite..next to the Giardiniera Hummus.

Just finished eating smoky pecan salad from NWK; it may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. All of Madeline’s food is delicious—but this salad has the most incredible balance of flavors & textures! Amazing.

I’ve been reading these reviews and they are all great; but I think that saying NWK is the best vegan food is an understatement. NWK creates the best food in Des Moines. The vegan aspect is a bonus but honestly the food stands as incredible whether we focus on the vegan-ness or not.
