Social Profile:

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

The photos the restaurant posts are fake; the food doesn’t look like the pictures. We went there and they had almost nothing on the menu. They only had two types of tea and hardly anything else available when we tried to order. The waitress had a terrible attitude. We ordered the avocado toast and the chicken sandwich, and they tasted AWFUL. The chicken tasted old and had a strange flavor. Everything was dirty. Don’t go there.

We enjoyed hot drinks & pastries at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk near the boating lake in Central Park today at one of their tables in the late evening sunshine, watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake.
My wife enjoyed her weak one shot, milky latte and small moist mini carrot cake and I enjoyed my English breakfast tea but there wasn’t much apple in my apple turnovers, which was mainly dry flakey pastry. The bill came to $21.
There were public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section offering waiter service for a selection of food & drinks.
It wasn’t too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink.
We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake during one of his regular Saturday slots.

Very bad service. The girls working there were rude, no smile, not wellcoming at all , both of the picture had a really bad attitude I ordered two croissants and a coffee and waited standing for about 10 minutes for my drink. When I asked about my coffee, she said she didn’t charge it — even though they saw me waiting there the whole time. No one bothered to ask if I needed anything, and they had a really bad attitude.

If I were the owner, I would definitely change the staff. They don’t look happy with their job and give a terrible service I don’t feel that I want to come back even though the place is beautiful

Beautiful area, maybe a good brunch spot, but the pastry… Meh! Borderline bad. You know when something taste great and you like it but you have to stop because it’s getting annoying. The cream in their donut thing-y was that after sometime. I threw it away cause I knew I was never finishing it later.

We had a wonderful experience here today. The coffee was absolutely delicious, and the croissants were some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly flaky, buttery, and fresh. My son and I really enjoyed them.

Our server, Frankie, made the visit even better. He was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive the entire time. He took the time to walk us through the menu and even recommended a dessert that we ended up loving. It’s rare to find service that feels this genuine.

We had such a great time that we’ve decided: every time we come to New York, we’re going to stop by and try something new here. Highly recommend!

Nice place for short break but service was kind of slow. On a sunny day you can enjoy your drink of choice and snack while observing what is going on around you in the park.

The excellent location of this lakeside cafe in Central Park makes it very desirable to visit. The food is quite tasty, the service is decent, the prices can be called quite moderate. From the amazing for me – coffee is served in deep plates, and my Belgian waffles were brought on a porcelain cutting board – it looks beautiful, but it is quite inconvenient for me… In general, there was a pleasant experience of visiting this place, but with dishes in the institution I would replace it with a more convenient for the client.

I visited so many of this chain stores around the city, but none offers bird chiming, lake site seating surrounded by big trees in Central Park. I can always count on their freshly bake goods and coffee, this location is amazing!

This bakery is amazing and the environment is the BEST! Luis, an employee, was very helpful to my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. So beautiful to be in Central Park right on the water.

Pretty solid little bakery, has everything you need, from hot coffee like a cappuccino to teas and lots of tasty goodies. All the pastries look nice, and my wife really liked her chocolate croissant. I got the Parisian creme donut with their seasonal pumpkin filling, and it was huge and creamy and delightful, just super cold cause it came out of a fridge
