If you’ve been around Dumbo before, you know that restaurants will charge an arm and a leg for the same dish half the price elsewhere. Not the case here! The food here was really authentic and flavorful, the walls were just covered with notes from visitors all over the world, and the service was incredibly fast considering there were about 2 servers and maybe one guy in the kitchen. The atmosphere is also festive all year round—just a cool taco joint overall! Glad I stumbled in and discovered this gem of restaurant! Highly recommend!

We came here for an impromptu dinner with a visiting friend. Our group of 5 was easily accommodated and led to our table. The ambiance is casual and relaxing.
We all started our dinner with a variety of margaritas, some like it frozen and some on the rocks. We then ordered guacamole and chips as appetizers.
We followed it with a few dishes to share, family style, of mixed fajitas of chicken, beef, and shrimp, beef chimichangas, and chicken enchiladas.
The dishes came in a timely fashion; they were flavorful, but we realized that the portion was not large enough for sharing. With good service and a price point, we will revisit this place to try their other dishes on the menu.

Honestly, this place is a hidden gem! A Mexican restaurant with the most beautiful touch: amazing Venezuelan people running it with so much love and kindness. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family.
I have to highlight Valentina!! her energy is absolutely radiant. She’s beyond attentive, sweet, and makes you feel at home instantly. She doesn’t just serve food, she serves joy. People like her make the whole experience unforgettable.
The food? Delicious. The vibe? Warm. The service? Impeccable. I can’t recommend this spot enough it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to over and over again.

I really wanted to like Pedro’s. The space itself is cute and well-located, and the food was okay—but nothing memorable. It could really benefit from more of an authentic Mexican vibe, both in atmosphere and flavor.
Service was just average. Even though we were the only people there, we had to call the waitress three separate times to get attention.
The biggest downside, unfortunately, was the smell. Throughout our time sitting there, there was a strong backed-up sewage odor that came and went. It was noticeable enough to affect the experience, and it seemed like the restaurant was trying to mask it with a mister rather than fixing the root issue. When I politely mentioned it to the waitress, she dismissed it as if I was imagining things instead of acknowledging the concern.
To the owner: the sewer issue really needs to be addressed. It overshadows everything else and makes it hard to enjoy what could otherwise be a nice spot.

After my running session last Sunday I decided to stop by Pedro’s to get Mexican food. Everything was delicious, I ordered the Ceviche and a plate with four different tacos. OMG if you are by Dumbo area this is definitely the spot to stop by. The server Stephanie was awesome and super friendly, she took the time to explained to me the menu and also gave me recommendations.

This has been, for years, my favorite restaurant in Dumbo. Solid Mexican food (get the enchiladas, they always hit the spot) good drinks, and damn good prices, especially for the overpriced Dumbo. The fact that it’s steps from the subway so I don’t have to drive after so many margaritas is a bonus.

This little restaurant was the place to be, the atmosphere was great, the food was on point, the tres’ leches was ridiculously really good, and they sang Happy birthday to me out of nowhere lol. Made my evening with my Mom and girlfriend great. I highly recommend it. And it was my birthday today too.

We ordered two plates of tacos: one with 2 birria and 2 steak tacos, and another with 3 pastor tacos. The birria was editable, mostly because it’s hard to make birria dry. The steak and pastor tacos, however, were very dry and nearly tasteless. The corn tortillas seemed straight from the bag—unheated, rubbery, and tearing apart immediately.
On top of that, the toilet seat in the bathroom was barely attached, connected on one side and flopping around, and the beers weren’t cold enough.
It’s disappointing, because the place has a cool look and a good location, but the food and basic maintenance just aren’t there.
