We were searching for a place that had the best fish around and all the reviews kept leading us to Crawford’s. The fish was phenomenal: hot, fresh, crispy, and CLEAN tasting! It is at the top of the list for us! And that Loaded French Pistolette — mind blown. We will be returning soon and share this treasure to any of our family and friends visiting. This mom & pop shop is definitely a true hidden gem. I’ve been to numerous restaurants in Baton Rouge and I randomly found Crawford’s Restaurant by coincidence. Everything, and I mean everything was delicious. You cannot go wrong with anything from it’s Cajun & Seafood menu!
1. Ken’s Creole
Our famous Crawfords fish covered in our homemade crawfish ettouffee. Sides with my choice of fried okra & Mac n cheese.
2. Shrimp Poboy.
3. Grilled Chicken Poboy.
4. Fried Pickles & Jalapeño.
5. Boudin Balls.

Alex M. gave us quick service and answered any questions we had. She checked on us several times and was very helpful. Great personality! Food was just how we wanted, Fried fish, thin and crispy. Hamburger steak done as ordered with onions and a nice gravy. We had several sides and ice cream too! Thank you!

Spent quite a bit of time checking out different places in the area landed on Crawford’s and wow am I glad we did. Even got to meet the owner, what a kind jolly man. He was proud of his restaurant and he should be! Food was fresh hot and delicious. Service was great, the etouffee over the fried fish is something I will dream about!! Environment is nothing fancy but normally the best food is in a place that looks just like this! I’m not from the area but if I was I’d be eating here at least once a week!

Crawfords catfish is definitely good. White, flaky & fried to perfection. The Crawford family gives such a family oriented and very friendly. Definitely worth the visit! We will be back often.

I was so happy to find this gem of a place. The food was excellent, service was great, and it was not too packed. I had the all you can eat fish special. The fish was nicely flavored and hot on the plate. I could really tell that the cook took pride in his work and it showed. I will be going back again. I truly recommend this place.

I was really looking forward to eating good gumbo and etoufee. Gumbo was too peppery, salty, and the rice to roux ratio was bad. Etoufee was slightly tastier but it is a far cry from a proper etoufee. The star of the meal was the free hush puppies. Major disappointment here. The servers were helpful and kind. I’d give them that.
