We used Spinelli’s to cater my mother’s surprise 60th birthday and everything was perfect. They showed up to our event extra early to get everything set up. The food, appetizers and dessert was delicious. We had two staff members on site at our event and they were wonderful – they were helpful above and beyond. We received so many compliments and are so happy we used them. We have had parties at Spinelli’s which were great and this was our first time having a catered event and we were so happy that we used them – they made our event everything we could have hoped for. We will absolutely use them again to cater an event and would absolutely recommend them!

Today I picked up an order which was heavy to carry. Debbie, a very thoughtful women , asked me were I parked, I said, a cross the street without hesitation she took the order and carried it across Bennington street to my car. Never in a million years could I have carried it myself I would have to make two trips to my car, I am not young.

I nearly had to sue them for my botched wedding cake. They messed up my cake TWICE. I asked for a cake with a long gold bow and ombre rosettes from pink to red. The day before my wedding I went to pick up the cake and the colors were pink, red and brown. I showed them the photos and the woman who helped me went over everything and said they would fix it and deliver it the next day.
My wedding day comes and they drop of my cake without a cake box. The colors are now pink, blue and purple. Where did those colors come from?? My long gold bow was also much shorter. I called immediately and was told that something would be worked out. I spoke with them soon after and they offer me $85 on a nearly $300 cake! I tried to compromise and ask for half of the money back. They said no because we had eaten it. It was my wedding day! What was I supposed to do? They were firm on only refunding me $85. So I let them know, through certified mail, that I would be pursing this in small claims court and that by law I would be entitled to the entire cost of the cake plus extra. That’s when I finally heard from them. They offered me another $70. The same total amount that I had proposed 5 months earlier as a compromise! And yes, it took nearly 5 months to resolve this!
I was a very loyal customer up until that point. I had been going there for over 6 years at that time. I would drive all the way from Roxbury to get their pastries and I always ordered cakes from them. I also recommended them to everyone. However, on the phone it was clear that they just wanted to give me some money to go away and didn’t care for my return business. I swore they wouldn’t get another dime out of me after that awful experience. Stay away from businesses like this that don’t value you as a customer and provide terrible customer service.

Every year my family orders food from here . This year I decided to get the chicken & broccoli alfredo I picked it up cold on Christmas Eve & warmed it up for our family dinner. No one ate a thing and the rest that was left over went right into the trash. I’m completely shocked since this is never the case when ordering from Spinellis. I don’t know what happened but probably won’t be going back. .

I recently had a rather disappointing experience at my usual go-to restaurant. Having been a loyal customer for years, I had high expectations for both the quality of service and the food. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be a letdown on both fronts.
To start with, the customer service was simply abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked the usual warmth and attentiveness. It was evident that they were in no rush to accommodate my needs or address my concerns. Thankfully the boss came along to help and that’s when all the staff started to work.
Moreover, the food itself was far from satisfactory. I had ordered my favorite pasta dish, eagerly anticipating its usual deliciousness. However, when I arrived home what I had , was a plate of dry, undercooked pasta that resembled more of a culinary experiment gone wrong. The texture was disappointingly hard and the flavors were completely lacking, leaving me longing for the delightful experience I had come to associate with this restaurant. Very very disappointed. The chicken seemed to be undercooked and no flavors.Although the owner Anthony I believe his name was offered to make a new dish I couldn’t be wasting any of my time going back and forth , but I’m going to take a break from this place for now even if it’s closed to home it saddens me that I don’t want to go.

I’ve been getting my cakes here for the last eight years and they never disappoint! Yesterday I got to work with Debbie and she was a spitfire! I needed that energy and interaction that morning. Absolutely wonderful customer service, it turned my stressful morning around! The cake was delicious as usual I got a half sheet of yellow cake with whipped cream inside and buttercream frosting! A classic that never misses and their baker is Superb! Don’t miss out on some of the best cakes in the city because you can never go wrong with Spinellis❤️

The pizza chiena did not have any egg in it. It was all cheese and some meat. The wheat pie however was fantastic. Cannoli and sfogliatelle were also good.
