Sister’s is a small and cozy neighborhood cafe located in the north end of Hartford that feels very homey. Great food, good vibes, and friendly service. The menu is a blend of Jamaican and Black American comfort food. I started to get the ackee and salt fish but stuck with an old southern favorite my grandma used to make. The fish and grits with a side of eggs didn’t disappoint! The fish was seasoned and fried perfectly and the grits were buttery and soft. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.

Amazing food! Wonderful staff. Excellent service. The food is fresh and SO delicious, the chef is a master of her craft and our waitress was very helpful. We ordered the Jerk Chicken, the Curry Goat and the Omelette. Lunch today was a delightful experience and we will definitely be back very soon!! ❤️ ✨

The breakfast at this restaurant was delightful! I indulged in three fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon, while my girlfriend savored her French toast and eggs, along with a side of sausage and bacon. The staff were incredibly friendly, adding to the warm ambiance, but the atmosphere lacked a bit of charm. Overall, a satisfying meal that could be enhanced with a cozier setting.

Came into town from Florida visiting family and was recommended I try Sisters for breakfast. The ladies that were working were very sweet and patient. My food had so much flavor that I had to go back a second time. Both time my plate was filled to the edge. I definitely recommend and be prepared to eat.

Some people would be put off by the appearance of Sisters… those people would be missing out on good food.
It is popular and busy! If you don’t want to wait 30 minutes for your food, call ahead. I dined in, but most ordered out. Like their sign says, they serve FRESH food, not FAST food.
My server, Shaunte, was excellent.
I recommend the French toast… delish!!!

The food Is pretty good. The service isn’t bad. It’s just a bit unorganized and quite slow. They only accept cash, but they do have a ATM area. You can differently have a conversation and talk. It’s in a church cafeteria. I would encourage.nTrying to at least once. The turkey wings are my favorite from this location.

Absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had in years. Good service, happy people, amazing food. The place could use an upgrade but all in all it’s a very family oriented place.
