A cozy Italian restaurant on the main strip in North Berwick. We split a Romano pizza and it was large enough for two people. Excellent flavor and I really liked the rocket greens. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and the Carmel sauce was perfect.
We didn’t have any drinks but they had multiple cocktails available for five pounds which is a great deal.

Really nice food! Very quick service and great staff!! I liked how each dish offered a smaller version of itself, I opted to have 2 smaller dishes instead of 1 big one. Fish batter was really nice and the Bolognese was delicious!!

We visited on a weeknight and managed to get a table for four without waiting or booking. Service was super – friendly, helpful and quick. The food was great – we ordered most of the tapas dishes and the bill came to £90 before a tip.

We went for a birthday dinner, made a reservation online. They did not note down the reservation so we were hastily assigned a table near the door, with hardly any room for people to pass by us. We ordered cocktails, and the spicy marg came back with no spicy rim so it had to be returned. That happened quickly, which we appreciated. Two of us had the burger, which was dense and thick, with the cheese melted into it – at least it was cheddar cheese and not an american cheese slice, but there was very little of it, and it had been grilled so much into the meat that it was an oily mess. The bun was hard and chewy on the bottom, as if it had been microwaved. There was no garnish – pickle, lettuce, tomato – nor sauces – ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, burger sauce. So, the taste was of unseasoned meat. The chips were not home made and not very hot. The mushroom risotto was really good but overwhelmed by black pepper, making it basically inedible. The coq au vin, however, was delicious. The restaurant was apologetic and removed the risotto from the bill. We’ve enjoyed ourselves there many times in the past, but this time was just bad. They were very busy, but that can’t be an explanation. Maybe an off night? I’m a bit picky, because I expect a certain standard when spending my money to eat out. Granted, the bill was not astronomical, but the food was sub par. We’ll probably return, but I hope the restaurant pauses to reflect on how it can improve.

A wee weekend trip to North Berwick. After walking the town, we were looking for a good nice place to eat. Ended up in Zitto, to be honest one of the best food and service experience I had in a long time.
Wonderful tapas as shown in the pictures, the prawns and haggis both were 10/10.
Main course was little bland but the presentation was descent.
Definitely recommend to people looking for a cute and comfy place to have lunch in Berwick.

The staff were very welcoming and kind and had a nice vibe. The pizza and garlic bread were excellent. The spaghetti carbonara was alright, however the chicken in the risotto was a bit smelly and I didn’t enjoy that dish very much as a result. The price was also reasonable compared to how much we had purchased.

Nice little place. Fresh calamari and mussels were lovely, chorizo Mac and cheese really good. Arancini not the best I’ve had and the sauce could have been better.
For the portions, I found the price expensive. Fully aware some things are tapas but still, a bit high.

Lovely food, staff and atmosphere. Nice out front seating area. We had pasta ‘starters’ for lunch which was a smaller portion of the main meals. Mussels and spaghetti was delicious. Friend said macaroni was amazing. Lunch plus 2 drinks each approx £50 . Highly recommend.

I had a meeting in North Berwick and had been recommended Zitto for dinner with our kids. Such a lovely place and a wonderful atmosphere. All the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was served promptly, the kids also got a colouring in book and pencils they could use.
Really nice menu and drinks selection.
I’d highly recommend it for both couples, but also families.
We had not been out for a nice dinner for a little while, so thank you to the team for making it such a lovely experience.
