Extremely happy with my food today and service here. The waitress Cindy remembers all my food allergies and intolerances. Vegetable Curry Pad Thai with rice noodle.

I now have a second option to their delicious Vegetable Fried Rice.

The hostess was kind and the food prep was relatively quick. Those were the positives. Food was quick because there were no other patrons at 6pm. The general tao chicken was mediocre and the pho was definitely a quick rendition of pho but lacking in taste. No sauce options as dine in is no service, they give you the take out and you eat in or leave. Good for the lack of choice in the area.

I ordered the:
General tao chicken – really good. All meat which i liked.
Satay pad thai – really good, had a nice seafood flavour. Just portion size for noodles was small
Crispy beef strips – too sweet. Beef was cooked nicely though.

The lady who took my order over the phone and served me was really nice. Their customer service was on point.

Would go back to try other things.

Usually, these lowkey thai restaurants turn out to be real hidden gems, so I was excited to check this place out.
It was not the case here!

The place is extremely depressing from the moment you step a foot in! But considering the very limited choices around and that there is no where else to go to, I decided to stay!

Ripped cushions and upholstery, broken furniture, clothes rack in the dining area, dusty furniture, and the list goes on..

The atmosphere is dark, depressing, with very loud noises coming out of the kitchen and hood!
It brought back memories of dining under the limited restrictions during lockdown!

To save money, this place twisted their dine-in services so they serve you everything in takeout containers but you can sit and eat it there, using their cheap paper plate and plastic cutlery!

Anything else you would need, you can go and find it yourself, whether it’s the warm water they have sitting there for hours, or the lonely salt shaker and teriyaki sauce bottle!

The food was far from authentic, flavors were bland, and there is absolutely nothing to brag about.

The lady at the cash was nice, helpful and she did her job, but the whole experience taking everything else in consideration was just awful!

I usually avoid giving low ratings to any restaurant or business, but my experience here was disappointing. The lady at the counter was incredibly rude. I asked a few questions about a specific dish on the menu, and her responses were not only unhelpful but also sarcastic and disrespectful. I ended up leaving without placing an order, and she didn’t even seem to care. Customer service needs to be much better, courtesy and basic etiquette go a long way!

It was my first time trying this restaurant yesterday and I am still being surprised by the behaviour of the waitress!!! She was angry and annoyed by herself and she did not say even one word to us! When we asked something she just answered us by “ohom”!!! The worst service I have ever had in Canada, I am not kidding!
The food tasted good and fresh though.

Not a bad Thai/fusion place. The location is very strange, it’s right next to what appears to be a trucking station. There was a very foul smell outside which went away when we were inside. We only ordered the spring rolls as we were in a hurry – they were light and crispy. The sauce provided could have been much spicier which would have made it fantastic. So far so good, will be back for a more detailed main course review.

I cannot speak to the atmosphere since I had takeout. Ordered a seafood green curry and it was very good. Wish there was a little more shrimp but overall it was very tasty. My 10 year old also enjoyed it with me.

We have ordered from this restaurant many times and have not been disappointed. Some of my favourite all-time dishes are from the restaurant HOWEVER the most disappointing piece of this and what stops us from ever going back is there constant failure of Food inspections. They consistently fail on contamination during handling and storage of food as well as sanitizing and maintaining equipment and utensils. This is such a massive disappointment!! Each time before ordering or wanting to go, I look at the inspection report and every time it is a complete disappointment. I can’t imagine it being that difficult to maintain a proper clean restaurant, but clearly it is. Come on Funky Thai … DO BETTER!!!!
